:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

So the Government acted unlawfully- now who’d have thought it?

Sanctions? Resignations? None that I can see.

Boris now has a very big gun to point at Gove - I suspect he will be told to stop going on manoeuvres

Fuck me can we finish covid first :lou_angry:

“Initial symptoms include fever, headaches, swellings, back pain, aching muscles and a general listlessness.”

FFS that’s @Polski_Filip 's recent symptoms

Presumably caught whilst ‘visiting’ the infamous ‘Monkey chicken petting zoo’?

All jabbed up. Apart from a slightly sore arm, no side effects. Shall celebrate with several Mai Tai’s later for Mrs G’s birthday BBQ.

The Ayatollah bought one on those bullet blender things for some ridiculous health smoothie fads

I have repurposed it for daiquiris

I am trying to recreate the lemon daiquiri I had in Havana

Still no success? Keep on trying :dizzy_face:

I think we all know restrictions won’t be eased

Yeah, they’ve been playing it out in the media for the last couple of weeks…

I don’t have a problem with it, but I suspect most people are fed up with being treated like idiots by this sort of drip feeding. Everything the Govt does these days is out there before it is formally announced. A clever ploy to stop outrage?

The issue is, if they didn’t and just dropped a bombshell on Monday, the papers would go ape shit

I normally get pissed off with the whole pre briefing shit that MPs do but I think that these nudge tactics are the right way to go about getting peoples heads in the right place for bad news

True. My gripe is not so much this story but the constant use of the tactic for pretty much everything they decide to do. The population are so used to it that the Government can and do pretty much what it likes. Now, if we had an effective opposition, oh, wait

…and there was Hancock saying we have to be cautious as we don’t want to repeat earlier mistakes.

…Fuck me I hit the roof. :rage: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

So a close friend of Gingora’s has just got COVID, as has her daughter. Both double-vaccinated.

And this frustrates me. People appear to think if they have had the jabs they are free and clear, they are not. You can still get Covid but should only experience mild symptoms

Also, depending on which vaccination and how long between 1st and second etc - still at normal risk of catching COVID after 1st vac for next 3 weeks or so and at reduced risk after second, but AZ only 65% effective after 2 doses, which would be fine, once everyone is done…
