:covid_19: 😷 šŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ā“

Isn’t the same being done in most other Europena countries? In fact haven’t they been doing this for a couple of weeks?

People can’t whinge that we aren’t doing any thing about it and look how well China and Singapore have done and then start complaining when we start to do some of those things

Forced isolation could be necessary if the fuckwitts in this country don’t start helping

The happy cheese looked like it was busy tonight as did goals in millbrook

We are doing a fucking great job of this reduced social contact malarkey

I have one question that doesn’t seem to have been answered anywhere.

if you have contracted Coronavirus and come out of the other side are you then able to walk around with impunity? Are we going to have a 2 class system? Those that have had it and those that haven’t?

I got the impression that he won’t stop there. I think we will get more announcements about measures to help a wider portion of society

I tHink it is a case of too much info in one go is not helpful

I might be wrong

Still no evidence that going through the infection gives the victim any lasting immunity.

There are apparently cases of repeat infection in Asia, or so my MD over in Singapore was telling me today, but not sure how confirmed that it

Real or Snake Oil?

Going on national TV I guess it’s real, if so then all the world’s governments should be backing them, what’s $750k after all??

Today day was one of the toughest I have had in office.

If covid doesn’t kill me stress or liver failure might

I’m taking that ironically.

Because social distancing is just advice.

Advice from a government that isn’t trusted fronted by a lying joke of a PM isn’t going to be followed.

And advice isn’t going to turn to diktat until it needs to otherwise the government would potentially make valid any claims against them for compensation.

If you want people out of the Happy Cheese or Millbrook Goals then ban them with a financial consequence for flouting the ban.

If you don’t ban them then you’re culpable for all that follows.

A global crisis that is mismanaged locally is the fault of the government, not some transient virus.

Well while showing my wife the video she say, ā€œHey I have got some Hydroxychloroquine in the bathroom cabinet.ā€
Let’s hope we don’t have to run our own clinical trials.

Agree with this

In fact I would suggest that everything should be pushed back

Loans - 3 months holiday - 3 months extended term

Rents - business and domestic - the same

That’s exactly what it is. This explains the ins and outs of it, some very good home truths.

IF and it’s an enormous IF we are looking at an 18 months lockdown, we will need drastic measures.

Personally, I’d be compulsorily nationalising everything that was in the interests of the public good.

I’d start with banks and then loans would be paused. The utilities would follow and likewise the state would provide our basic needs.

I’d then start with a doling out of a working person’s allowance that was payable to anyone that was in employment but who was unable to work due to government restrictions (basically anyone but supermarket works and Deliveroo).

I’d supplement this with the supply of the main staples of life being supplied by the government in lieu of payment to a supermarket.

Like I say, it’s a big IF, but this is what we need a centralised state for.

Can’t think why

They will send your body home pickled in vodka.

So, basically the same as every furlough.
