Hmmmm
can afford to travel from red zone countries, divert to Turkey before returning to the UK but can’t afford / don’t want to pay for quarantine?

More like they don’t want to be in the hotel for 10 days

Hotels in Turkey dirt cheap, versus quarantine hotels at ÂŁ1750 per person I believe

And only self isolate until this week. Now they have to go to Govt approved hostels & actually quarantine.
But, it beggars belief so many people travelled anywhere let alone India & Pakustan for weddings/funerals when there was a travel ban in UK

Essential travel weren’t it?

This is interesting, it’s about the “controversial” use of the drug Ivermectin in the preventative treatment for Covid 19.
Dr John Campbell has posted a couple of discussions with well respected medical professionals over the last few months on this drug. A drug that has very few serious side effects and cost less than a penny for a supposed efficacious treatment. So why isn’t it being widely prescribed and why is there such a strong online campaign against its use.
Conspiracy theories anyone

Looks like good data. Is this the first paper on the prophylactic use of Ivermectin?

YoungAdult #2 is age 20 at Uni in Cardiff and the NHS down there are ahead of Engerland and are currently vaccinating the +30 age group, with a reserve list for those below. He signed up on the reserve list on Tues and got his 1st jab yesterday.

rhyfeddol

(Which is not a date rape drug
)

Yes, these are 3 discussions “real world” experiences of its use as a prophylactic
you’ll find links to the medical papers relating to these discussions attached to the YouTube videos.

I guess all those calls from businesses to keep air traffic open and the government not stopping people travelling were great ideas - where will we be importing variants from next one we’re allowed to go on holidays

Anyone who thinks the Government have done and are still doing a great job in this Pandemic, are fuckin’ simpletons. :lou_facepalm_2:

When anyone following what’s happening in the rest of the world knows where our Government’s weak spots are, has been shouting about them for months and watching the Government react at a snail’s pace. :rage:

We have similar here.
A Nun went to India to help the homeless.
Came back & spread it in both Warsaw & Katowice.
Hopefully they have tracked everyone as we were just getting over the Kent Version

Some nice holiday destinations in the “green list”, not Poland yet though @Polski_Filip

Only 12 nations and territories have qualified for “no quarantine” status for returning travellers: Ascension Island, Australia, Brunei, the Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Israel, New Zealand, Portugal, Tristan da Cunha, St Helena, Singapore, South Georgia & the South Sandwich Islands.

Are Australia and New Zealand allowing travellers in now?

Sing, Aus & NZ and actually Portugal not letting anyone in atm.

Here we are at about 25 cases per 100,000 but on an Amber list. Before Xmas you could travel to places with 70 per 100k.
We have approx 180 Indian cases vs 300 odd in UK.
Makes no sense.
But why come here yet? No bars/restaurants for 3 weeks and hotels are full with locals drinking Vodka in their rooms until about 2am each night.

So chill, give it a month

Not exactly tourist hotspots and for most of those it’ll be midwinter soon enough -

How do you even get to South Georgia?

I suspect they’ve been announced to make it look like Johnson has a real handle on opening overseas travel for holidays Most people probably haven’t got any idea where those place are. Hell, even after the Falklands war most people still don’t know where they are on a map
