True, butā¦ the pharma industry codes of practice are some of the strictest and most difficult under which to market or promote products (rightly so), but in most other industries, none of these activities would be considered that bad or certainly draw less condemnation. Also $1bn is relatively small fry, compared to the fines for hiding adverse event data etc or liabilities associated with potential future claims in an industry were EVERY product comes with some associated risk, no matter how small. All the pharma companies have had similar or much larger fines, yet tabacco can still advertise legally in in some countriesā¦

Now maybe I am missing somethingā¦ but these folks seem to have been āvisiting familyā or getting married (Having travelled in March!), but why? Was this āessentialā travel? Article about the āIndia variantā on the same page and these folks saying the āhopeā they are not a risk of carrying because they had a single Jab and have had COVID (There remains no evidence on this as yet)

It shows the stupidity of giving notice.
There is a travel ban. So if you must travel you risk not getting home.
Should do what others do. Close air routes when it is necessary with 4 hours notice

Unfortunately the Government hasnāt or doesnāt want to admit this doesnāt help end the pandemic.
Bowing to pressure from businesses or just incompetence? Iām sure the scientists wouldnāt agree with giving as much notice.

Yet they cracked down hard and fast here sure we are hurting in hospitality but overall Industrial output is rising really fast.
Guess it takes a few days for books mates to set up the companies to take advantage of each policy change
