You need to wait until Tina Turner starts swinging from your lighting fixtures dressed only in a very small piece of leather

Had to grab stuff from office quickly today. Very surreal in the city. People are the enemy all of a sudden. No one getting near anyone. Coffee shops that would usually be doing a roaring trade were grateful for any customer today. Bus drivers likewise.

Strap in people.

Clearly not a sentiment felt by Lord Humungus and crew, who dressed like that a whole film earlier.

Philippines has deferred all electricity bills for the next month whilst people are not working.

Isn’t that business as usual in London?

Your knowledge of London is on a par with your knowledge of SMS

Possibly, I never got used to messaging.

Euros postponed until 2021.
Breaking news

Beats @pap by 2 seconds, then puts on smug face as NHS changes advice and says do NOT take Ibuprofen on their web site.

Dilemma,… do we still call it Euro 2020, or Euro 2021?

(NEW world problems…)

Meh. The NHS is probably just lifting its opinion from social media.

Did it get @Map-Of-Tasmania to fact check first?

They clearly read this thread. Helps them stay ahead of Boris’s team’s data

Haha, you still don’t get it do you… the point being made was a simple one… too many folks publishing ā€˜advice’ without quoting source or its publication… there was no source in the original post. If you read what the NHS advice, its still only based on observational/qualitative evidence, not on clinical studies… Maybe you should not bother with listening to any doctors, or bother with peer reviewed evidence, and just read twitter for your medical advice?

As mentioned, it has been previously established (albeit from safety data from clinical studies in a large number indications over many years) that taking NSAIDS, when you have a fever or infection can in some patients (not all it should be said) have a negative effect, given the mechanism of action is to manipulate the immune system - in simple terms our immune system often tackles infection or fever by 'inflaming the infection site (redness and swelling around an infected cut/ā€˜heat’ in infected area) - NSAIDS can reduce this ā€˜inflammation’ as they are designed to do so…

The advice has changed, because of observation is some patients. That is a quite different form random statements that declare ’ DO NOT TAKE… IT MAKES IT WORSE!!’ with no source… so I am happy with my position.

Best headline so far.

Being wrong and not wanting to admit it?

I suppose you’d have to be.

At least we can sleep easily in the knowledge that our Foreign Secretary has it all under control and isn’t an ignorant moron.,
In the HOC earlier.
Emily Thornbury: Asks what the government are doing to repatriate 60 UK citizens in Lima.
Dominic Raab: We are working very hard to repatriate any UK citizen stranded in the Philippines.
Thornbury: Lima is in Peru!

God help us all.
