Or we could resell it.

Hmm - Hey Macron, we have some spare vaccine going. Normally we would sell it for $5 a shot but for you, let’s call it $20

This is going to be needed as an ongoing shot I would have thought - a bit like flu.

As @CB-Saint (I think) said, the operative word here is “offered” but still good going

I did hear that a number of care homes staff were refusing jabs

Surely in this case it has to be an absolute condition of employment

Your socialist credibility score was already creaking Pap, you’re now stretching it to breaking point

when we do get round to shipping it to the EU we should ensure that it goes via lorry as part of a multi consignment with other product, such as fish.

Then we will see how pedantic the ham sandwich police are

I got stopped from taking a banana into Australia. I also had to change my shoes as the shoes I had on had mud on them (this was at the height of foot and mouth though)

Yep stopped on the Arizona/New Mexico border when travelling on a Grayhound Bus.

Uniformed Police type guy got on, walked the length of the bus scanning each passenger went back to the front and said, “Any fruit or vegetables to declare?” Not sure whether that included sandwiches.

You do get more right wing as you get older apparently

Maybe less left wing

more of a cunt?

The EU president is wriggling like a worm on a hook. She has chucked her deputy under the bus for the NI debacle, refused to allow a debate in the parliament and is facing a call from German MPs to come and face them to explain what she is playing at

Meanwhile after spouting off about the AZ vaccine being crap, the Germans are considering using the Russian and Chinese ones.

You seem to think the AZ vaccine is better than the Chinese and Russian vaccines, apart from the shit you read in the Telegraph/Times what’s your evidence for that?

Would you prefer to use a Chinese or Russian vaccine ahead of the AZ one?

What would you rather stick in your arm?

Chinese vaccine

If you’re going to post something as Partisan against China as CNN you should at least post the Chinese side too which indicates potential mitigating factors to consider in the trial result such as

“Volunteers for Sinovac’s vaccine in Brazil are all medical workers who are at the highest risk of infection. It is also the world’s first Phase III clinical trials conducted among only medical workers”

“Medical workers are in a high exposure population, which would decrease vaccine’s protection efficacy,”

“The more a vaccine is attacked by the virus, the lower its efficacy would be, which could explain the comparatively low efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines in medical workers”

I would happily take a Chinese or Russian vaccine if it was on offer because I’m not a sneering cunt who’s adopted the worldview of the telegraph in lieu of engaging my brain from time to time.

The way the Western pharmaceutical industry has been portrayed as our noble saviours during this pandemic is hilarious . These are some of the scummiest companies on the planet, rife with corruption, hidden trial data, bad trial practises, obscene profits and exploitation.

Here’s some recent dirt regarding the Astra Zeneca miracle

Its always more complex

But note of caution
I dont have time to check the background to either KHF, (no association with the US Health Provider Kaiser Permenente) which seems a family organization or those that wrote the article above
problem with the internet is that everyone and anyone is now able to ‘research’ stuff
but too often the validity, bias or agenda of the source is never probed or clarified (that’s where its quoted at all) - Another issue is that the piece/blog by Medicines Law and Policy contains not 1 citation of its own source material
Therefore, any reader would need to research it all over again to be sure of the accuracy of the information

Main stream media have always been biassed, but their political slants are pretty well known so at least what they report or opinion pieces can be viewed through that context, but these so called ‘independent’ sources on the web, are often less transparent

I am always a bit suspicious of articles that link Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to vaccination in a less ‘flattering light’ given they are the target for antivaxxer nonsense
What the KHF fails to acknowledge is the reason why they ‘might intervene’
given they have extensive experience of vaccine development and distribution, partnering with a global manufacturer was the only way accelerate this aspect during a pandemic
the rest is about the nature of the contract.

All academic institutions receive both public and private funding and this research would have attracted a lot of private equity, so any subsequent deal would be commercial in nature, unless Government had funded the entire research AND paid for global production and distribution, it was always going need Pharma to step in. As such, I am not sure what the ‘critique’ by the KHF is looking to achieve?
