:covid_19: đŸ˜· đŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

Certainly hope he pulls through.

This is almost everything wrong with the news. I’ll add it to the growing evidence that Channel 4 news has proper gone down the nick.

This is a journalist asking a question. Her question is loaded and implicitly lets the government off the hook.

We have to rely on the interviewee for balance.

Shouldn’t that be the other way round?

In our office a mid 40 year old female and a early 50 year old have got it quite bad and been off some time. I’ve been off this week so no update but it’s been a months already.

Pah, they’re all crisis actors, all hail the Great Reset

This is too soon isn’t it?! Could we have an agreement that shows like this should be maybe 10 years or something.

OK, would you if you could? Please, spare everyone any faux outrage for suggesting you wouldn’t
,

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-55783042 Ok- would you?

No there are much more deserving people than me and as i work in basically a covid free environment I will wait my turn or until the company have secured there own vaccines from a legal source. Plus I get tested at the minute 4 times every 5 weeks.

You have to start putting prison sentences in place for it - that’s the way to deal with it.

And frankly, with the case that transmission of this can range from battery to manslaughter (and perhaps even murder if it’s passed on purposely) , those charges should be on the table.

So I had it over Christmas - started off with getting a headache everyday (I rarely get headaches), developed into incredible muscle pain keeping me up at night, chills, then loss of taste and smell. The Christmas day Barolo went completely to waste.

Her indoors also had eye pain (as in her eyes actually hurt). MiL and FIL both bad the same symptoms, although MiL had geographical tongue and FIL had severe gut pain.

None of us had breathing difficulties.

None of us could get a test within a 2 hour drive.

We all had those 15 minute private tests. None of us tested positive.

This thing is bloody weird.

I want the vaccine as soon as I can - but I think I would wait my turn. I could be doing my parents out of their jab

If I got offered one of the “end of the vial” job, I would take it if it meant it wasn’t being chucked away

In the sandpit, they are giving free Chinese Jabs. Rock up, get jab.
Many of my mates are doing it, no side effects reported.

But it still gives me questions. It is less effective already.
New strains how do they affect it.
And the big one.

IF You have China jab today, can you mix it say next year with revised Pfuzer or even some of the new ones?

Equally you will need a vax passport to travel. But will Chinese/Russian jabs allow that if they aren’t approved by EU & others?

Hmm

Nope. My entire strategy is letting other people go first on this one. If I knew it was 100% safe, maybe. It seems that the state plan isn’t delivering the second jab in time.

Nothing is 100% safe, ever. Not anything.

Well you’re asking for the impossible, no medical procedure is 100% safe, they’re all risk versus benefit and for these vaccines the benefits far outweigh the risks.

Basically you’re just chicken. :lou_wink_2:

Indeed, but you generally lower your risk by observing the results of trials. There is presently no data on whether those vaccinated have gone on to develop the disease, a question raised but not explored in that Channel 4 piece I linked.

I think that is a fair question. 100% safe is never possible, but given that this is a government-mandated scheme, I think we need the data.

Arent all vaccination programmes govt mandated

The golf is on TV from Abu Dhabi. Tyrell is winning.
They have SPECTATORS!

A limited number of Corporate invites were allowed.
The point?
You needed a vax certificate to be allowed to go.
Shape of things to come.
Just seen a couple of the lads who posted their adventures.
Jabs.
2 tests then another lateral flow test at the border between Dubai & AUH

The Oxford Astrazeneca test on many many thousands of people revealed zero hospital admissions and zero deaths
there were a few who caught Covid but as I say none were hospitalised. The percentage efficacy of the vaccine is said to be 65%+ on first jab rising to 95% on the second. However if you look at it as to how many it prevents from getting a serious Covid infection you can say tests return a 100% success rate.
