People shouldn’t kid themselves that any of this is about us. He knows full well that if he locked down to try and mitigate the inevitable surge in January, which most of Europe, Wales, NI etc are doing, he couldn’t trust some of his ministers, advisors, MPs, hell, even himself not to break it. The last thing he needs are some more Dominic Cummings incidents. They want their parties, trips to their second homes and country estates, Boxing day hunts and shoots. That’s why he’s resisting it, in defiance of most of his scientists and medical advisors.

Amid all the gloom…the good news. 
a friend who lives in posh part of London (Kensington) said that the last few weeks in Lockdown II that many kept having their dinner parties just behind closed doors. I also saw a mention of a hunt still going ahead.
This makes no changes to my current life and plans for Christmas, I may however be suggesting to work that we need to work at home more and shouldn’t be expected in anymore.
