Very entertaining and educational over on The Daily Mail reader’s comments,( I do it so you don’t have to), much rejoicing over Macron’s Covid infection, one of them even putting forward the suggestion that it will give us a strategic advantage in the Brexit negotiations. That one received plenty of upticks. Biological warfare presumably!

The King of Sweden criticizes his country’s failed Corona Virus strategy.
What are the chances of something similar coming from Buckingham Palace?

Seriously? Rates have halved here ffs

One is not amused

I can’t see queenie giving it it the ā€œyou dumb cuntsā€

They stopped counting the other half

I seem to be living in a borough which was the second fastest increase rate recently. Most Spring we were pretty low. The chief exec said it had gone down now. They are setting up lots of walk in test sites. I did find a map which shows my street has a low rate in the borough. Only have to be in the office 2 times before 5 days at home and then I will be in for the 3 days between Christmas and new year. They are closing don most of the offices bar ours and encouraging people to work at home but many workers said they would come to our office. No thanks. Keep away!

SGH coping fine with low numbers. So start shipping ICU cases in from Kent.
That should help with the logistics of vaccine rollout :lou_facepalm_2:

And that’s the thing.

This vaccine may be standing on the shoulders of many that came before. It probably is, considering the way they’ve tried to detect this virus.

I’m not anti-vax. I’m anti-tested. Everyone should be.

No long term tests. Intended for mass application. Sorry, but those percentages don’t represent small numbers in this scenario.

For the record I have no objection to being vaccinated for Covid. I suspect that the rollout of the vaccine will take considerably longer than everyone thinks though.

Reading today that the system to record who has had the jab isnt working so records being done by hand
And the appointment system isnt working. So yeah, probably everyone will be jabbed after the next election

Thing is if you had 10k people administering injection 8 hours a day at 1 every 15 minutes, then we will be done by April 2022

I have an active immune suppression system (explanation: the garage).

I am not against the vaccine. I will trust in the qualities of the garage to keep up the immune system in the intervening time before I get it.
