Absolutely disgraceful of course, but sadly not surprising any more. Basic common decency shown to the less fortunate by our governments, which was once taken as read, is fast disappearing. At what point did this country start turning into a greed driven, and frankly deeply unpleasant, compassionless place?

This is my issue at the moment - and it happens a lot in my day to day life as well. People who I thought were ostensibly good, aren’t, and that’s upsetting.
I may be too naive in thinking in general people were good, but this Government, and a lot of this countries people, have shown me up massively over the last 5 or so years.

I arrived back offshore on Sunday after 2 weeks quarantine.
To find that at our Covid free zone in the middle of the South China Sea masks have to be worn during all meetings, whilst walking around the accommodation or if you have a multi occupancy cabin. We get our temperatures taken everyday by the medic. We can take them off if sat at our desks in the main office but most people still keep them on.

Can I just say that most of us have been locked up for most of the last year and that these are not the most conducive times or means for harmonious interaction?
In truth, we’ve had four years of it. This lockdown has basically allowed it to become distilled, removed the context of basic human decency in favour of something or someone you can shout at.
I think in many cases people are arguing with phantoms of their own creation and once one side gets into that, there really is no argument to be had.
The big surprise to me is how many closest authoritarians and grasses I have on my Facebook feed, not that they’re a worry. They’ve outed themselves now

Which is both amusing and a general strategy.
However, I’d generally bother more complete strangers than you. Even when they meet me, and have to put up with my bollocks, most people are not cunts.

Seriously, despite what others thought, we were THE most ethical & morally correct global office in my old MNC.
I always did the right thing. In the end I quit because of others screwing us & our partners over.
I got screwed again by a Saints fan.
I spent lockdown on peanuts, stuck at home counting pennies to eke out food because of cvnts.
I now know to just ignore all the LinkedIn MBA cvnts asking for my help to raise my profile.
I have family & I have you cvnts & a few mates left fighting for the right way.

I very much doubt if he’s obscure, he will be connected to someone in government. Probably Cummings’ ex girlfriend’s brother or the like! They don’t just pick people out of the air and hand them 21 million of taxpayers money for acting as a middle man for some Jeweller in Florida who’s branched out into the PPE business. If he made 21 mill, imagine what the Jeweller got?
