Have we discharged them all to the care homes?

An interesting issue has cropped up in Essex

Essex CC have asked the govt to put the into Tier 2. Southend and Thurrock unitary authorities want to stay in Tier 1 - effectively a low risk island. A covid equivalent of Andorra.

I can seen that giving local leaders too much input is going to cause issues

How many not in intensive care?

Just asking because it was reported on the news that hospital admission figures are up, in fact they are higher than back in the “height” of the pandemic.

edit : However looking at this that appears not to be the case…

Last week there were 11. During the peak there were over 100. Will give an update at end of week.

Labuan has been declared a red zone in Malaysia as it has 44 confirmed cases this means all flights in and out cancelled. Which then means we cannot get offshore workers in to relieve the people already offshore its going to end up a clusterfuck with units being shutdown.

Oops!

Of course it is - If the science had its way we would all be locked away until a vaccine could be found.

Sage arent there to come up with the best way forward- they are there to give the Covid impact side of things. That then needs to be balanced against everything else.

The media can just go fuck themselves

Kier has gone all in - demanding a 2-3 week national shutdown

All businesses compensated

All hospitality shut

all offices shut

No household mixing

Yes. Just after reading the SAGE report

Kier has set this up quite nicely

If Boris now goes for a circuit breaker, which tbf, they hadn’t ruled out and was still on the table for half term - Kier is going to be crowing about How the PM followed his Sage (sic) advice

If Boris doesn’t then Kier will spend the next six months saying “If only the PM had taken my advice. Think of the lives that would have saved”

Mickey Mouse could have opposed this government. Keir hasn’t, and that’s his job.

He’d certainly dance around some dangerous ground. Like Savile or Rotherham.

What isn’t going to win him voters back is widening the gap between the Tories and Labour. He’s being very canny. Hes been giving the PM just enough rope to hang himself, before he destroys him.

The 6-31 from Liverpool Lime St to Manchester Piccadilly this Friday.

Everyone who has a scouse accent is going to be told to fuck off whenever they put in an appearance anywhere else in the country

So no change there then
