The thing that i find most bizarre about all of this is that nobody in the media is asking āWhereās the Prime Ministerā? Has he been captured by aliens? He does half an hour on Wednesdays and then disappears again. And nobody seems to bat an eyelid, they seem to think it is entirely normal for the PM, during a time of national crisis to just not get involved at all, let the minions just get on with it. Surely itās not unreasonable for the country to expect the Prime Minister to at least be visible, at least make some pretence of leading, of being in charge. Today of all days you would expect him to take the briefing, after all Cummings is hisemphasized text* special adviser, he must have known what all of the questions would be about, surely he wouldnāt be so cowardly as to go missing again and let some other poor sap take the flak. Of course he would, he is absolutely gutless. He sends out the hapless Grant Shapps/Michael Green/Sebastian Fox, who gave an absolutely woeful performance, stuttering and stammering, desperately trying to defend Cummings by pretending that it was a fuss about nothing. I almost felt sorry for him, then i reminded myself what a cunt he is.
When did Johnson last do one of these daily briefings, put himself out there as leader to answer the questions and be held accountable? They take place at No 10 i believe, the lazy, cowardly bastard lives there for heavenās sake! Itās the equivalent of you or me laying in bed while your wife does your work calls in the kitchen. Even some of the cabinet members must be starting to ask themselves what it is that Johnson actually does.
