I saw Hunt has come out and said that on his watch the focus of their pandemic preparation was focussed on flu and not coronaviruses

I am giving this a go - if it means I can crack on with life more quickly, then great
I think he scored 32 or something, pictures round let him down.
Negative.
You may remember, and I don’t publicise this widely, but I’m a keyworker and was able to get a home test kit.
Due to time restrictions and courier booking logistics I took the test 7 days after my first symptom - the day, according to government advice, I was able to return to work.
The results took a further 7 days. I’d been back at work most of the week.
Mrs Bletch, however, had to isolate for 14 days. Lol.
It was a pointless shitshow.
Computer and initial logistics processes were excellent the rest turned it into a pointless exercise.
So I was negative - on the day I could return to work. Which doesn’t really prove anything.
And as there is no antibody testing I don’t really know what I had.
I expect that sort of treatment from this government for the riffraff but assumed us keyworkers would be better looked after.
I wonder if your experience is common or whether they just realised you’re a chancer.
The thing is, no one, least of all @saintbletch, can be left with any confidence in that result - given the overall competence of the government in any arena it has chosen to touch with its grubby hands.
Having seen that Anti-body test being offered by Superdrug I’m tempted to get one for Lady Slowlane. She picked up a nasty cough at the turn of the year. It was a nagging dry cough that lasted a long time and at it’s worst in January she was retching in the middle of the night and struggling to catch her breath, pretty scary. It wasn’t like any other cough she’d ever had. Naturally I got it too but didn’t last as long but still bad enough to postpone a dental check up for a couple of weeks.
Makes you wonder doesn’t it.
I found this really moving…
Superdrug sold out really quickly
The Ayatollah got one from Webmed for £10 less
Give them their due - the furlough application system is ace
And the govt have actually listened and changed the rule
Is that true, fatstuff?
That would be wonderful news!
BBC News - Coronavirus: More bereaved families of NHS staff can stay in UK
That’s the right decision. Well done Patel.
Off to wash my mouth out with soap.
Haven’t had to use it, so genuinely don’t know.
What does it entail?
The moral of this story is ‘don’t refuse to give interviews to the nation’s second broadcaster’.
The moral of the story is to unfriend Piers Morgan. Quite why anyone would want to listen to his inane drivel is beyond me. One of the comments is very telling … toxic broadcaster with a (verging on) bullying fascination with Boris. Whilst we’ve all got our view on the rights and wrongs of this awful situation, I’m not sure Piers is the man to stand at the front with the loud hailer ?
