We are a laughing stock across Europe and the world precisely because of this sort of nonsense. The figures are too high to start encouraging people to go out to work. You cannot have people traveling to work and going to work in isolation. It doesnāt work like that. There is no way that people will be safe. All this 2m stuff is bollocks as well -people seem to have convinced themselves that just staying a little bit away from others will protect them.
Mixed messages, dangerous message. Unions going to go mental, quite rightly. And I can guarantee that if Iām asked to go back to work the answer will be no and Iāll resign rather than risk my life.

Could someone explain the maths behind how a figure is reached and called the R number?
Iām sure itās not just made-up like the majority of the daily graphs, I just canāt see what scientific process you could go through to produce an accurate figure.
