Quite the opposite. Iâve been looking into why Eastern European rates of death per million are so low this morning.
Another legacy of the much-maligned socialist era might also have played a big part in minimizing the impact of Covid-19 in eastern Europe. As RT reported earlier in the month, âstrikingâ evidence has emerged showing that the BCG tuberculosis vaccine might be protective against Covid-19.
I also found it interesting that Germanyâs numbers are being kept lower by the East of the country.

So todayâs wonder solution is the BCG Jab.
Then why are so many old folk getting Coronavirus as we never had anti,- vaxxers back in them days.
Ah but it becomes ineffective over time.
So why is it stopping EEU peeps from getting the virus then.
Cue another expensive funded clinical trial to see if you had BCG whether you can have another, plus tests to get the data for the science peeps.

Was speaking to the missus about this very thing. There is a staggering difference between death rates across Eastern and Western Europe. Thereâs even an East/West divide in Germany.
Very interesting stuff. Answer might have been under some noses all along.

Equally, it could be that this region has a proper education system and EDUCATES people, who then see things happening and do the bloody obvious themselves instead of ranting that nobody tells me what to do and itâs my 'human rights unit.

I wonder if something similar is happening in Eastern Europe. Countries used to being in authoritarian regime suddenly responding to authoritarian regime shocker?
Thereâs any number of variables that will have a huge effect on outcomes. The obvious one is the median age of a given population, if fewer people live into their seventies there will be fewer deaths from covid. Also the point raised about former or current totalitarian states is valid; in North Korea, for example, not only will the populace do exactly what theyâre told to do the moment theyâre told to do it because they know what will happen to them if they donât, this also affects the extent of what that government is able to tell them to do, knowing that it wonât be questioned, much less resisted. If our government had imposed anything more draconian than they have, do you honestly think that everyone would have meekly accepted it and not bleated about civil liberties and the police state?
