:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

Fuck, are we really posting Daily Mail articles without qualifying them as Daily Fail?

The world has gone mad.

I am less arsed about the Mail on Sunday.

The links do say Mail Online Pap!

And are we really believing anything from Fox news?

Nice and clear plan from the German government. Would be good if the UK govt had some sort of strategy that they could communicate - and actually do

As Chris Witty said the other day, the situation is different in every country. Plus he said the one clear lesson from getting the public to follow the lockdown rules was absolute clarity was needed (you know how many idiots kept saying it was not clear).

So talking about possible lifting of some restrictions, on a possible, theoretical, future date risks the public (for which read, the idiots) would lose clarity. Announcements will be made when they are certain.

Hmmm…just asking for a friend. Is it OK to take my, opps I mean can he take his dog out for a walk tomorrow?

Thanks I pass on your advice. :lou_lol:

Fair enough. I will listen to you and whitty. But just you two, no one else

They’re saying that there will be a meeting and announcement later extending the lockdown for 3 more weeks. Why is this news out if the meeting and announcement hasn’t happened yet?

Media always speculate / leak things Fats

But this isn’t media speculation. It’s from Mr Handcock. He said it on the radio this morning. I don’t get why he’s saying it but then saying there will be a meeting and official announcement later. He’s already said it. Make that the official announcement or don’t say it.

Here’s him saying it

Note the “all sporting events including football banned until August 31st …”

Wow, that will set the cat amongst the FA pigeons.

Knowing how bad the LFC nosh off is, I suspect we will cancel next season and finish this one

It will be done in the interests of safety because the pity party would be so vast it would risk another outbreak

All I can guess is that it was widely known a decision would take place today. It sounds like other parties / Scotland / Wales etc have already been consulted.

So make a statement now that it’s being extended, so no one thinks its being released, and then make a formal announcement with full details later today, when the journos can ask their (often inane, sometimes insightful) questions.

Just my guess though

WE ARE SAVED!
Why didn’t our resident geeks think of this 1st?
