First up against the wall come the revolution.
Good luck to them.
I am genuinely disgusted with Parliament at the moment. Most of those voting for Remain-causes (let’s not pretend it’s anything else) aren’t representing their constituents.
Democracy has completely broken down.
They could sort this with a general election tonight, but in all likelihood they won’t. It is more important for them that the EU has a deal than people having their say.
They can get to fuck.
Aye, but as with any bad divorce its always the kids that suffer (and the dad (UKPLC) in a bedsit)
As for EU, of course they want to discourage others… not sure its much of a great concept to have a union in which members are encouraged or supported in breaking it up - like a football club who have success actually encouraging its better player to leave…
However, the EU don’t need to ‘create’ circumstances that make success for UK hard to come by… because the circumstances that make it easy for UK would be a free trade deal… which we already have as members of the EU, and that we have rejected … to the EU eye, its as if we want all the benefits of membership such as a negotiated trade deal without the conditions that membership demands… so I can kind of see why they are playing hardball… and that is despite the fact that us leaving shifts the balance of power towards a collective of the smaller and newer members… Yes, we will be able to make deals with other countries such as the US… but you would have to be a complete fucktard to accept (and more importantly care) that this will come with some VERY unpalatable conditions.
…and I say that acknowledging that for some the principles of membership both now and in future are not palatable either, although when each is taken in turn and discussed its clear to me there is now ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ with many of them… good arguments can be made for them all
Who not what.
Al = Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson
Isn’t it weird that our PM isn’t known by his correct name.
Type Alexander Johnson into Google and there’s no mention of this lying fraud on the first page(UK search). Doesn’t that strike you as strange?
Surely the government should resign, because if Pfeffel tries for a vote, i’d hope parliament would reject it.
You’d get what you want, the country would be sold on the cheap to America, even more will die(130000 on the last count. Remember them) because of the fucking drug addled psychos that this simplistic division placed in people’s minds and so in power.
Of course, in the real world, what’s happening now is exactly what Pfeffel, Smogg, Farage, Gove and all the liars claimed as the leave position in 2016. Leave with a deal. Go look it up if you doubt it.
Amazing how the lies change and no one seems to notice.
You’d hope Parliament would reject the opportunity for people to have their say?
Blimey. We really have come a long way in three years.
No, stop looking at it from a blinkered single issue stand point.
It’s all about timing now. Pfeffel is flailing all over the place. It’s his baby, let him hold it a while.
Sit back and watch the game unfold. It’s been hilarious so far(i even watched parliament channel today).
Simple fact, as @Map-Of-Tasmania pointed out, there’s a lot of people on either side and the way through that is compromise.
Out, but CU good enough for you?
Common Market would suit me - as it was originally intended back in the day,
The problem is that the project-makers are far, far beyond that point.
Ever closer union. A European Army. An appointed (i.e. not elected) President in charge of an appointed executive.
The direction of travel has been so constant, so controlling, that the mandarins at the top can never go back.
Back in the day might need some work, but me and you (about as politically opposed as they come) have started what should have happened long ago, by those paid to do so.
The amount of paranoia and hate that’s been created must be amazing to anyone studying it scientifically.
Anyway back on subject, how about joining the Euro
They can keep the Euro. There is a whole can of shite being kicked down the road there.
Until taxation and borrowing is harmonised across the bloc it will remain structurally flawed.
Which is probably what they intended - get everyone on to it and hating the idea of a future without it and then shove the unpalatable stuff down their throats at a later date
Yeah the Euro was a joke, although not quite as much as our PM.
Cummings is in trouble again.

But possibly not as much as the rest of us(so good for him).
Forces chiefs have said they would do this if democracy dared rear it’s ugly head and the timing of their statements(dutifully printed by all MSM) was rather coincidental.
Better get the dumb fuckers talking soon, or lock them up for treason.
I don’t agree with a no deal Brexit, I voted leave but this has given the Brexit Party and the far right the green light in the North, further dividing England, not the UK but England.
Labour will not get in en masse up here I can tell you that for a fact, it’ll end up as a hung Parliament but with the dissolution of the UK, an English Nationalist reactionary wing of the Brexit Party/tory party calling the shots if we don’t leave the EU.
Southern Labour maybe smiling tonight but the real Labour people are crying as they know this is also the end of our Party or any part of it that was left after Blair.
So no election for the time being
This is going to be spun as MPs who are refusing to implement the result of the referendum are now refusing the electorate their say again.
Parliament vs the People
There could be easily one, they’re drawing up a one line bill as we speak and the SNP won’t refuse an offer of an all SNP Scotland, this will lead to another indyref for them, Labour voting for the Brexit Party and not turning out and England being totally fucked up.
Labour are fucked. The tories are fucked and the extremes are now in who’ll never concede, cheers remainers.
Cheers Southern Labour.
Gives you something to moan about though Bazza, can’t be all bad…
Always the other side’s fault. No blame for anyone else?
That’s the kind of thinking that got us to this point. Keep it up and you’ll achieve everything the far right want.
Now back to your first point.
Brexit with a deal(lot’s of talking needed to find any common ground even here) would seem to be the thing that can unite enough people and this is Corbyns stance. Timed right it’ll win through and comments in the right wing press(i include the BBC in this) like
gives a clue that they know this also. Has that headline been used yet @CB-Saint? If not, it won’t be long.
For the first time i see the possibility of common sense winning through, but strangely also for the first time, wonder if stay might have shortened it’s odds(which would be the governments fault completely).
We’re at a point where everyone except the fanatics can take something from the whole shit show.
Want a bet that we fuck it up again?
