The replies to this…
Reading Twitter and watching video clips this weekend brought this back to mind from the entrance to Aushwitz.
A bit hyperbolic Phil.
It’s not as if the person that’s really calling the shots is known to hold the beliefs of a eugenicist.
“However, the spread of knowledge and education is itself a danger and cannot eliminate gaps in wealth and power created partly by unequally distributed heritable characteristics.”
Dominic Cummings 11th October 2013
Oh
Phillip Lee just defected to Libs
Boris no longer has a working majority
He is a remain MP in a Leave constituency with a big Tory majority - he is toast in the next election
So what to make if it all? Staying out of the big debate as it goes nowhere… but I do have a comment on what annoys me…
Brexit must go ahead as this IS what a small majority voted for
But I wish politicians would shut the fuck is trying to manipulate the mood with the ‘ people of this country are fed up and want it done’ bullocks - no, There is no data to suggest this, and most reasonable people recognise that with something this monumental it’s worth doing properly and worth doing right, not to satisfy some political motive or personal gain… Yes I am sure it is frustrating, but that is IMHO a fair price to pay to make sure Brexit is not as big a fuck up as it can be…
I want it over and done with, but not at any cost and I have heard or seen no sensible or rational argument why it should… only bull spouted from those with-something ridding on it - not what is in everyone’s best interests
P.S. anyone willing to put up with something just to get it over with should not have been allowed to viote on it in the first place as they are stupid
Let me flip that for a minute.
How many people are actually arsed enough to protest? Owen Jones’ high-ball estimate of protest numbers in London, a city of 9m+ people, was 30K.
That is not a lot.
To be honest, don’t know what the fuck happens next. Boris is clearly going to need Labour rebels if he’s to have any chance of achieving his plans.
On the plus side, Johnson’s performance in the Commons today was fucking hilarious.
Not for him, I hear
He makes Williamson look like a fucking genius.
For fuck’s sake. I’m going to have to watch it now.
Currently watching Jacob Rees Mogg live on BBC parliament. Absolutely hilarious, like a Monty Python sketch.
Maybe @saintbletch knows what’s going on.
He retweeted this gem.

Me? I’ve just told the locals they are filming a new series of Fawlty Towers in London. They understand now
It is funny though. First Johnson, then Lord Snooty having their sorry arses handed to them, by all sides of the house. Moggy was close to meltdown. Looking at the faces behind Johnson during his embarrassingly, truly awful performance was very telling. John Crace summed it up perfectly,“it was if they had suddenly just realised that he’s a bit shit”. Johnson being monstered across the media. I think even the Sun and The Telegraph will struggle to put some positive spin on that performance.
Clarke currently amazed that JRM managed to keep a straight face during his bullshit strewn speech.
Yes, Clarke is having a good day. He destroyed Johnson, he was blustering so much i thought he was going to explode when Clarke exposed him as a liar. As for Moggy, well he is on a different planet. “We should recognize that the people are our masters, and show ourselves to be their liege and servants”. Haha, wonderful stuff. Moggy sees himself as our servant!
