Farage, Richard Tice and Tommy Robinson all doing sterling work at the pro brexit demonstration in Parliament Square. Yaxley-Lennon obviously appealing to that segment of leave voters who voted such because they don’t like forrinners.
So the tax dodgers will be rejoicing then! Very charitable of them, putting the interests of the vast majority first at last, rejoicing in the fact that by having a Soft Brexit they will now have to abide by the EU regulations, will now be having their tax dodging scrutinized which will result in them having to hand over large amounts of their ill gotten gains. Their self - sacrifice and sense of public duty is truly humbling, an example to us all!
Tonight at 11pm?
You should be happy then.
You think there’s any choice that May could present, that would win a vote?
I’d be interested to hear what that is.
Why do you think 12th April(or even the May date) has been chosen. The legal position seems to be about EU elections and if we don’t agree to hold them, we’re out(our seats have already been divided up and they aren’t going to sit in limbo for more than about… 2 weeks).
I’d like a GE but the tories aren’t going to call an election they know they’d lose, unless their dodgy plans are fulfilled(out at 11 tonight then😏).
I must confess i had a lump in my throat at the rapturous reception the Ulster Loyalist marching bands received when they marched into Parliament Square, their drums proudly displaying the slogan, “true blue defenders”.
Still, it’s better than having more armoured vehicles on the streets of France than probably at any point in history.
It certainly is. Your point is?
That perpetual political unity with a load of dysfunctional nations might not be that great an idea. Especially when many of those nations are looking to the right for their answers.
The stuff going on in France should chill the bones of anyone worried about state violence, and the precedent it sets, and this is with a so called moderate in charge.
If only we had a thread for that
I’m not trying to cross the streams too much, Filip, but the "when good states go bad* scenario does concern me, whether it’s France or anyone else, especially because of the political unity angle.
We voters have no agency to influence what goes on in other countries, and that is fair enough. What’s not fair enough is being politically unified with them.
And nobody ever voted for political union.
So the entire project has been non democratic.
But that’s a whole different wormhole for a Red Angel to fall through
It is being reported that May will bring her deal back one more time next week. With the threat of a general election if it fails again. Just watch Umunna, Soubry, Berger and the rest of the Independent Group throw their principles out of the window and suddenly decide it is a good deal after all. They won’t be the only ones either, the Tories are scared of an election despite all their bravado about ‘unelectable Corbyn’. If she does bring it back with an election pledge if it fails, it will pass.
It seems Mps are having a course this week to explain the customs union.
Seriously?
#nowords
Fucking hell, Lammy .
I’m shocked.
The Muppets still cant make up their minds
I hope Jeremy Corbyn’s got a long spoon.
The End of Days
What’s going on?
May admits that Corbyn is now in charge. Nothing moves without his agreement(watch May falling apart (yeah still)).
Parliament votes(yes they got a majority) for no, no deal(meaningless) and the EU say no extension, without EU elections.
Cliff edge next Friday, or allow Corbyn to follow his parties policy.
How things have changed since the control freak called an election. One that was to give her an unassailable majority, but ended with her inviting Jeremy Corbyn into Downing Street for a couple of days work experience.
“Under the constant onslaught, Lino cracked and defaulted to her Maybot factory settings. Yes Corbyn was a threat to national security, she barked. And that was precisely why she was inviting him to resolve a national emergency. It was quite bonkers. She had openly insulted the man she was looking on to bail her out of a crisis before any talks had got under way. Her capacity to self-destruct is almost limitless. Everything turns to dust in her hands. Naught’s had, all’s spent. What little chance of the two prime ministers ever agreeing on a Brexit deal had been strangled at birth.”
This is all getting into Meuller territory and the only sane looking one is Corbyn. Who’d have thought
