:brexit: Brexit - Deal or no deal

Looks like I might be joining you after all.
Poland doing a good job of getting kicked out

BBC News - Poland lower house approves controversial judges law

I bet they get a better deal than the UK if they do though.

Interesting stuff from Drunker Juncker here.

We don’t need the EU

We have a population much happier accepting being fucked up the arse by English speaking nations than those surrender monkeys and those warmonger krauts… we are a nation that will be happy to accept US working practices and product standards as we value cheaper goods over quality (our high streets and decent markets have gone as we prefer cheaper fucking supermarkets - farmers markets are so middle class don’t you know)

We are also a right wing country - always have been where our class system keeps folks ignorant of the truth - it’s why we had an empire because our class system meant we had enough ignorant serfs willing to sacrifice themselves for the glory of the empire (forget defeating fascists) happy cannon fodder to support the elevation of our elite… that legacy remains best personified in the way out working class supported Thatcher when it came to the Falklands… and why we now seem more comfortable that our casual racism is becoming more acceptable post Brexit - ‘fuck he middle class and their liberal views … how dare they tell us that we can’t through bananas at the wogs’ …

This country is fucked not because a few folks not accepting Brexit, but because Brexit has revealed a fuck load of ugly truths about the people and what they really want

Three years and the same mistakes still being made. What was Einstein’s definition of insanity again?

Insanity? So poor people blaming the EU for austerity is what? Poor people voting for Thatcher because of imperialist values is what? Go on tell me?

You are very good at short little sound bites that sound smart but carry no value, yet you seem reluctant to offer any answers of real substance…

Well, you’re blaming all those poor people you’re trying to save again (Schrodinger’s socialism? ), it has yielded absolutely no positive results for you, and you’re trying it again.

Are you expecting different results?

What the fuck are are on about ‘positive results for me?’ As far as I recall my opinions are being posted on a small web forum to about 5 people so forgive me if I am not expecting any positive results or impact… it’s merely an opinion on how and why some folks voted as they did… i think you need to recalibrate the ‘impact’ of your own spouted bollocks… you obviously have a few delusions of grandeur if you think posting on here has any effect on anything… then again I don’t do twitter and so unlike yourself with obviously several million followers fawning over your every tweet, I can’t comment… :joy:

So you confine all of your political opinions to Sotonians?

I am both humbled and skeptical.

As I said, opinions count for fuck all… apart from good debate with friends I do not do social media apart from here and a few places I share family stuff…

I just do what I can when I can practically rather than believing everyone and anyone must be interested in what I have to say…

It wasn’t Einstein. That’s another internet(first result will do) mistake.
Definition is wrong as well.
That aside, insanity would be getting deeper into bed with America, which means a worse life for the majority(but you know that, you used to argue it).

Remember, you promoted what’s coming, so as your American overlords would say, own it.

That is the Pap paradox - he voted for something he knows will be shit for many, but is looking to blame those who did not vote for it for the shit to come…

Voting as he wished isn’t a problem. Lots of good reasons behind his initial decision.

It only becomes a problem when it becomes all consuming and greater issues become irrelevancies.
We’re up at about 150,000 people in this country that have died as a direct result of economic warfare(sanctions) from our own government. Now correct me if i’m wrong, but that’s a bigger deal than “get brexit done” or “fuck the poor” or “serve the rich” or(personal favourite) “join the cult”.

There’s so much more than a single issue going on.

Agreed, but I am am only responding to a particular issue raised

Fair point and if you don’t eat organic yet, start soon. GM crops are on their way, so farmers, wildlife and soil will soon be dead and nowhere will be able support any life without chemical input. Even then thousands and thousands of hectares will be no more than a monoculture.

If only things were as simple as a single issue.
Monoculture is not the way forward

The deal is through the Commons.

Lords next.

Labour still voting against it

The Lords will do the same

Have they not learnt?

Why should they vote for it if they think it’s a shit deal. A shit deal is a shit deal.

Because it’s a deal?

Voting for something is a tacit approval.
