If you’re a far right government, who do you go to for help?

There’s a word that’s been bandied around lately by Johnson and co regarding this kind of scenario. Collaboration I believe it is. What foul hypocrites they are.
And yet, when Nicki collaborates with Kanye, no-one seems to mind!
So there was a meeting between representatives of an EU govt and our govt who need to persuade all EU govt to accept their proposal
Fuck, quickly, man The barricades, the world is ending
So if you want to convince the whole EU you call the Hungarians?
Seems rather unlikely.
That sounds like farage. Have you also got your rifle😂
So maybe not leaving on the 31st?
Is he banking on Hungary saying no to an extension?
I’m sure that’s the deal, can’t think why else they would be at a cabinet meeting. I remember there was a bit of a row a few weeks ago when it emerged that tory and brexit party meps were holding secret talks with their Hungarian counterparts. This would seem to confirm what those talks were about. The current Hungarian government are extreme right wing, especially the prime minister, openly racist and proudly anti semitic. Of course, nothing is for nothing, I wonder what’s in it for them, what have they been promised? The increasingly desperate attempt to deliver a crash out brexit with no deal, to benefit Johnson’s backers and make them their billions is creating some extremely unpleasant bedfellows for this country. Not sure its what people voted for.
.
Does anybody still believe leaving will benefit the rest of us lesser mortals? The NHS will be next in line, despite the promises. Nothing coming out of the governments mouth can be believed.
Did you miss the privatisation of the NHS inside the EU? This is a consequence of neoliberalism, and not being a member of the EU or not. Private provision has long been a thing, and it has been a disaster.
I suppose I’d put a question back to you. Given that neoliberalism is now kinda baked into the EU and it generally doesn’t give too much of a fuck about public provision, what makes you think the EU is a safe haven for the NHS?
I agree there has been partial privatization of the NHS, which is of course disgraceful. But it is disingenuous to blame our membership of the EU for that. It is generally accepted that health care in Germany, France, Spain, Holland etc is far superior to ours now. Although, for me unacceptable, there is a difference between partial privatization and handing over our health care lock stock and barrel to the vultures in America. We will inevitably end up with their system where the underprivileged die on the street. Give me the European systems all day.
And scrapping EU rules on the environment, food and safety standards, protection of workers rights and conditions, what’s your take on that? Are these rules and protections an example of neo-liberalism by the undemocratic EU? Presumably you agree that scrapping them is a good idea because you are effectively cheerleading for it and deflecting whenever it is pointed out. The International Trade Secretary, Liz Truss saying, “scrapping the protections is vital to give us the freedom and flexibility to strike new trade deals and become more competitive”? Which is code for American and, to a lesser extent Chinese future business owners and employers in this country will demand it. But, but, but, this was all "project fear’ wasn’t it? The chickens are coming home to roost, and they will be chlorinated ones!
Your post is reminiscent of this i read earlier and your both spot on.
"What Julian Assange really represents is this. Far from ‘taking back control’ – Britain is proving itself yet again to be an American sycophant, the groupie of a bully, just a bootlicker.’
Uhm… interesting how Germany, France and even Spain have better health provision than we do with our NHS… systems that rely not on ‘private’ insurance but in ensuring appropriate levels of contribution… you get the health care you pay for and for years no one has dared touch the NHS funding mechanism for fear, despite all it has delivered is an underfunded Healthcare system… the EU has fuck all to do with it
Wait until we have sucked US cock to get a trade deal and see what Kaiser and their peers look to do to our health provision… decent cancer treatment? Hope you are earning £150k + and can afford £800 a month to get decent comprehensive healthcare cover for your family …
I didn’t suggest for a moment that NHS was the EU’s fault, just that privatisation is not was a product of neoliberalism.
The direction of travel doesn’t look like it is changing. It’s not like we’ve seen a brand new public health service springing up in Europe, showing us the way.
Your point was that leaving the EU puts the NHS at further risk. My point is pro-market policy puts it at risk.
What is the EU, if not a massively pro-market arrangement?
Prague is a load of fucking shit, mate.
And the scrapping of workers rights legislation, food and safety standards etc?
I’m not in favour of that at all, and I am of the firm view that in many cases, those rights are already stripped bare. Oppressive monitoring cultures, no company sick pay, minimum statutory.
That all needs to change, and no, the Tories are not going to be the ones to change that, but the general point is that a Labour government can, and won’t be restricted by “superior” continental law.
So you’re basically saying because, maybe, if, could be, we might as well fuck the poor now and become even more like th USoWH(such a fitting name).
As your mate over there would day “sad”.
Every day, another face palm moment. Michael Gove today, speaking to a German audience telling them that the decision to leave the EU was on a par with the fall of the Berlin wall and East Germans quest for freedom. Shouts from the audience of “Nonsense and rubbish”. Fucksake, is he back on the beak again?
Is this part of the strategy, try and piss them off so much they will tell us to do one? I bet they wish they had listened to De Gaulle all those years ago. I’m old enough to remember him constantly saying “non”. I didn’t really understand the nuances of what he was saying back then, but i do now. He warned that the UK shouldn’t be allowed to join because eventually they would cause nothing but trouble, would "poison the well"was the expression he used. He also said that the UK would always put the interests of the United States above those of Europe. Who can put their hand on heart and say he was wrong!
I don’t think I’ve said that at all.
If you can point it out, fair play nipper.
