:gov: Boris Johnson is Still the Prime Minister

Ok, not exclusively Tories, but unsurprisingly the vast majority

MP expenses really do annoy me

They should own a constituency home and then stay over at a flat owned by the crown estate if they live outside London

And if they complain about late nights, then rejig the timetable so they are not crapping on at midnight

Who’s MP is Chris Chope then.

I bet the government want to kill him right now. He does have form for objecting to legislation being passed on the nod, but even so

Or at least work a full year. Parliament is only open during school term time, which is appropriate only insofar as they act like a bunch of pre pubescent kids.

Been described by one ministerial aide as “an absolute twat” and that is one of the less explicit descriptions of him flying about right now

It says something about the Govt when foreign “friends” feel they have to run these sort of stories:

And this

Reckon that ignores the money spent on staycations

Also ignores the fact that far more Brits holiday on the continent than visit here from it. But it’s a fair point that needing passports will be a problem for europeans coming here.

This is true, but I the amount spent isn’t anywhere near the same and the bounce back in travel to overseas destination means significantly more Brits are holidaying overseas again.

The article includes a clusterfuck of issues that staycations did/will not make up for in a million years

IMHO of course.

Saw this on Facebook this morning…

"A few things that are NOT worth removing Johnson for:
Lying to the Queen
Unlawfully proroguing Parliament
Lying to the electorate about Brexit
Risking the Good Friday Agreement
Refusing to feed hungry school children
Removing £20 a week from the poorest
Accepting bribes from all and sundry
Shocking Covid response in global terms
PPE scandal
Eye-watering money waste of Test & Trace
Releasing sewage into our water systems
Creating an internal border in our country
Risking the Union
Causing empty supermarket shelves
NHS overwhelm
Care system near collapse
Justice system near collapse
Removing British citizens’ free movement
Destroying music industry’s ability to tour
Culling thousands of healthy pigs
Adopting policy with intent to drown refugees
Undermining anti-corruption measures
Needing to insist UK not corrupt at COP26
Abandoning Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe
Awarding peerage to dodgy Russian
Any number of sex scandals

Single thing that may lead to removing him:
Asking that MPs actually concentrate on fulfilling their elected duty, not take a second job and restrict their earnings to £82,000.
It’s hard to believe that this party exists for any other purpose than to feather the nests of its own members.”

Obviously not a fan.
