Still not a lot - especially down South.
I see weâre back to the rather simplistic view of spending more money on something is better.
I disagree - there are shitloads of people in the public sector, including some people whoâve posted here, that would be fantastic MPs precisely because theyâre not earning north of 80K.
I find your definition of best at odds with my previous understanding of the term.
And that really wouldnât be a bad thing.
Perhaps the lawmakers might end up making laws that allow normal people to live there too. The median wage (non London weighted) is ÂŁ27K.
Itâs 80k plus 25k for housing plus 5k for family support plus expenses. These are the same cunts who voted to remove 20 quid per week from the poorest in society. Fuck them all to death.
Iâm with @pap on this, being a MP should be about renumeration it should be about serving the people, if you up the salary you end up getting twats who are only in it for the money not for serving the public good.
Lower the âwagesâ and you might, just might, get a better breed of politician.
Mind you you might end up with more fuckinâ twats like Boris, Etonians who donât need the money.
Thereâs no âmightâ about it.
Sadly I think youâre right.
Boris needs the money, believe me.
The two things he has in common with his hero Churchill are that heâs fat and heâs skint during his first term.
As with any sphere of life there are cunts everywhere. Paying them more wonât reduce the number of cunts.
I would rather have cheap cunts doing a shit job than pricey cunts doing a shit job.
Incidentally, we could have had a PM who objects to MPâs having 2nd jobs and doesnât take the piss with expenses but some were too worried that he rode a communist bicycle and made jam from Israeli foreskins.
You have the latter already
ÂŁ80k gets you Hancock or Abbott
ÂŁ50k gets you the more shit version
Most council CEOs get paid more than our Ministers and their remits are chicken shit by comparison
I would rather give the better pay a go and see what happens - if Iâm wrong we blow ÂŁ50m a year - the current crop of cunts can do that before breakfast
Labour have got their noses in front in the polls
That will start making the Tory MPâs arses twitch - Boris gone by April
I think theyâve run out of potential leaders, tbh. Sunak is fine as Chancellor, but probably a step too far for the tories as the top man.
Theyâll probably choose someone like Gove (shuddersâŚ)
Not sure - I suspect the party has had their fill of tub thumping vacuousness and a more measured leader would be welcomed.
Sunak is an obvious choice, but quite often the obvious choice doesnât get it. There will be decent candidates out there, I suspect they have kept their heads down to avoid getting tarred by association to Boris
For the first time I can remember, thereâs no obvious replacement beyond Sunak. Brexit ruled out whole swathes of them and imho still does.
