No he didnāt. He said that he thought it may have come from game of thrones but wasnāt sure. I was replying to MOT who said he couldnāt understand why anyone would view the gesture of kneeling as one of subjugation, which happens to be the way I interpret it.
Forgive me if I donāt put a great deal of stock into the opinion of a guy who couldnāt even be bothered to google āwhere does taking a knee come fromā before deciding it would be good to float a theory about GoT in the national media.
Iām just saying that heās probably not the best person to turn to when defending the position that taking a knee āseems likeā a form of subjugation.

Trump has turned it into a left v right battle so half my yank friends post White Lives matters. Today a surge of Police Lives Matter posts.
In UK Twitter it seems to be pandering to the little englander/Brexit factions.
It seems to be stagnating and adding to the strength of minority opinion.
Taking a knee was poignant, but doing it all season? Fine IF we can see clear progress.
It is not the fault of the players or their views the CAUSE has to become Political to create & legislate for real change. But has it been hijacked? Where is it really going? Are the minor victories being hidden?
