You talk about people taking responsibility for themselves but there are some that simply abuse the privilege and no amount of debate will change that. Trumpet was peddling his hate agenda for 4 years. There was plenty of debate but it still ended with a riot and 5 dead and a crowbar to get him out of the White House. You keep bringing up religion as if it is something different. No it isnât. If people are spouting hatred in no matter what form it needs to be dealt with the same. In Barryâs world it is ok for radical Muslims to send out a call to their brothers to take to the streets and behead infidels. On what planet is that ok and to be tolerated? Iâve never been on Twitter or Facebook, but from what Iâve observed about people who are, most of them are addicted to it. I do wonder sometimes how they manage to get anything else done. Iâve lost count of the number of times Iâve sat in pubs, or even restaurants, watching couples sitting opposite each other, glued to their phones, completely ignoring each other with no conversation at all. Likewise i sit in the armchair in my front room looking out of the window when kids are wandering down the lane on their way home from school, teenagers in groups, 90% of them with heads down looking at their phones, scrolling away, again completely ignoring each other. When they get home itâs straight upstairs to their rooms to log in. When i was walking home from school with my mates it was all larking about, taking the piss, flirting with the girls, kicking a football. (Jumpers for goalposts!) 
A few years down the line we are going to have a generation with no social skills whatsoever.
In the interests of honesty i should probably confess that one of the reasons I have maybe resisted joining Facebook and the like, is that the last thing i need at my time of life is my colourful 60s and 70s past catching up with me! Hell no!
Regarding Trump and his red card from Twitter and Facebook, perhaps a good solution would be for them to tell him he can have his account re-instated on the condition that his first posts were, âI lost the election, and then I lied about losing itâ.
Itâll get messy this, Trump will sell his zealots who stormed the building down the river if it means he stands again, I think he will, he certainly has the numbers and thatâs where it get sticky for the democrats as theyâll have to appear slightly further to the centre to appeal to the floating vote and also the same applies to the republicans.
In a way that could make the US closer via policy as both parties want shot of him.
