“They”…all-encompassing collective blame.

Even the Daily Mail is covering the story of Johnson hiding in the fridge, but not a peep on the BBC. They have wheeled Ian Austin out again though to make more hysterical slanderous allegations about Corbyn’s supposed anti-semitism. Allowed him a free rant without any attempt at balance. What a disgrace they are.

So I generalised - so what?

Doesn’t make my point any less valid

The implication was that because Jimmy Carr hid his money to minimise his tax, then all celebrities should not speak to their social conscience.

If that’s what you meant then your point is valid. Otherwise you’ve condemned high earning taxpayers with a far reaching platform for speaking their mind.

I think they should speak their mind, personally.

It’s allowed me to realise that James Blunt is the cunt I always believed him to be. Whether he pays taxes or not.

OK I got seen this the other day, can you deny any of it… forget context, can they be denied

I’m still a bit undecided about my vote direction this coming Thursday.

I’ve obviously taken into consideration what I consider to be the following swaying points on the two main parties.

I know, I know, like I said I got sent it not that i agree with it but the Corbyn bits are pretty damning (out of context) and that’s what joe public sees…

And more importantly this is what my parents see…

So we have a CPA (Christian Peoples Alliance) candidate in our constituency. Had one leaflet which wasn’t too objectionable but today’s is too far. It is harassment against our Labour candidate as she has campaigned for women to have the choice to terminate a pregnancy. Apparently abortion will be available up to birth under Labour.
They’re not happy she wants children to have decent, balance relationship and sex education (they may learn about homosexuals).
They have not even spelt the constituency correctly.
I saw a video of one campaigner saying our Labour candidate is a neo nazi too.
The candidate and other have gone to the police as it is a concerted harassment and they had “protesters” out before the election was even called in our town centre.

Blimey - anyone but them

Sadly on social media, people are free to spread whatever bollocks they choose it seems, but that is not the only problem… We have to remember that this shit spreading propaganda is not aimed at all of us. Its not aimed at reasonable rational folks with a bit upstairs… its aim precisely at those whom it will sway because they will not bother to check the validity, nor will they subsequently be swayed by counter arguments or truthful denials - because these people have been conditioned to the belief that what they read first must be the truth and subsequent attempts to deny are just desperate attempts at revisionism (not that they understand those words)

Its the unpalatable truth about democracy, in that you don’t need to be smart enough to differentiate between lies, undemocratic tactics and the truth, or even understand the consequences of what you are voting for to have a vote… seriously we might as well let all children vote, because the 4 million odd people in the country who hold the power, the believers of the shit, have no greater intellectual abilities in making informed choices than a 5 year old (as evidenced by the shit they believe)

How many will have researched the Conservative manifesto and been highly concerned about the broad descriptions of potential legislation that will give almost draconian powers to government and questioning the validity of judicial review?

The Tories want to create a Trump like mini US… Part 1 was always get rid of the EU legislation that actually protects us from the worst of it… and the worst is yet to come…

Boris may shout all he likes about ‘freedom’ to drive our growth blah blah blah… but what he means is legislation free capitalism, no checks or balances… at the expense of workers, Health and safety, rights, and maybe worse removal of ‘red tape’ that is designed to safeguard us.

They are very smart… for example, they will be the first to present scientific evidence that washing your chicken in chlorine (I wish that was a euphemism) is safe… and it all be right, to kill the story. Anyone who then comes out and presents the more insightful and important argument that its not the Chlorine wash that is the problem, but that fact it allows you to compromise on health, hygiene and safety and welfare issue across production and supply chain (making it cheaper) will be lost on those 4 mil… the 4 mil ignorant who will see counter arguments as those of whinging snowflakes,…’ who does not want cheaper chicken’ who cares if it tastes like shit and has put UK farmers out of business? That is how this shit works…

So we are fucked… sorry, but social media and the culture of self obsessed entitlement’ has created a perfect vacuum for the clever tory fuckers to exploit… The left are behind because generally they are simply much less machiavellian…

If we ignore context, we’ve joined the msm gameshow.
Anyone that does can justifiably called an idiot.

I talk to lots of people about politics and all the usual lies are repeated, but like the a/s bollocks i only need to point out some facts(a/s in general population 6% a/s in tory party 19%(that’s being fucking generous) a/s in Labour party 0.08%) and the confusion in people’s faces is sad to see, but they’ll happily repeat the next lie nevertheless.

It won’t change until people turn off/stop buying the tory press.
Have the bbc shown Johnson drunk at the Cenotaph yet?
They’ve admitted they tried to cheat us, so have they shown the truth yet. The blue rinse and military types would be horrified if they found out he stank of drink and stumbled about like the drunk he quite clearly was.
Where’s the context for that?

Fuck it, you were correct in your first sentence.

A country of loonies deliberately made that way :lou_facepalm_2:

If you think so…by your own standards…all Tories are devoid of a social conscience.

Page 48. Everyone should read it.

Lots of shit on social media, but they get most of the lies from the msm and government funded disinformation services, who are supposed to be more professional(at lying?), so you should put a big chunk of the blame squarely where it belongs. The establishment and the media they and their friends own.

Laura is in hot water again. It looks like she’s helped to contravene electoral guidelines…

EDIT: Further information

Not sure just how serious this is for the BBC and Boris’s Laura. Lots of people on Twitter incandescent about it. Could be partisan outrage or she could be in deep shit.

This from the Electoral Commission itself - posted 1 hour ago…
