🤪 2019 General Election Discussion :gov:

It will be as equally shit as the Labours one

The only difference is that they will spend less therefore the magnitude of their fuck up will be less

Do they know something we don’t? They reckon Labour will win? Or is there a more cynical reason I’m missing?

More like an insurance policy

They are building from a position of majorly fucked already though aren’t they? What are they going to do? Slow the increase in numbers of homeless? Open slightly less food banks? Kill just a few more piss poor pensioners in hospital corridors?

Also, it depends if they spend as much as they have promised rather than the bullshit they’ve included in their threadbare manifesto:

I’m using that line for anyone that says we need more people on the job.

Of these 50000 nurses, 19000 are going to be nurses they hope to retain (good luck with that) and 14000 are going to be students. These are training anyway and student numbers have halved since the removal of the bursary. If this is re-instated then new students will first have to be attracted to the industry and then undergo 3 years of training. 50000 is a pie in the sky figure incorrectly costed and the deception is blatantly obvious.

What is it about ā€œcreative accountancyā€ you don’t understand?

Plus the free car parking at hospitals turns out it is for night shift and families with terminally ill people.

Just been reading a telegraph journalist twitter feed. The QT debate was full of lefties and so biased. The BBC is leftie bias. We live in such weird times.

I’ve seen the full list. It’s ridiculous and will cost a fortune in admin.
My bet, watch the price hike for most.

I cannot understand why anyone, anyone would be taken in by the bizarre ā€˜promises’ being made.
It’s the most blatant lying I’ve seen in any election, and you just know that Cummings will still have a couple of little hand grenades up his sleeve, some fake accounts, or more of the BBC editing out the facts - it’s just a hilarious game for him - fool the poor.
When I saw on TV a woman in poverty coming out of a foodbank, declaring her admiration for Boris and austerity, it is quite clear where this election will be won.
You have hardline voters at the left and right who will never change their minds, they can be respected for making an informed choice… but the key voters are the undecided, that’s who Nicky Morgan was targeting, and boy are some of them thick!
When people say the voters are not stupid, look around you, a small but significant proportion of them are as thick as fucking pig shit and will lap up any old tosh they are fed.
They view the world via The Daily Mail and Judge Rinder, they think Little Mix and Ollie Murs is culture, they like shiny things.
They don’t understand the most simple concepts, whether it is the economy, policing or trade deals, yet they will decide how much power an extreme right wing government will have to shape the UK for a generation.
Oh but it’s democracy Rallyboy, you can’t say some of the voters are thick…
Newsflash - I have, and man, they fucking are, and it angers me that the 10/20% will decide the future for everyone even though they can’t be arsed to get informed.
Anecdotal but first hand - a woman I know who loves Boris, asked me whether it was just the Tories who got to vote on 12th December or everyone - that leadership contest had confused her…
Her beloved Boris clearly has the edge, it’s just a matter of how big his mandate for right wing policies will be.
So on election day it won’t be the informed playing a starring role, the thick will decide to what extent our country looks like it hates the poor, foreigners, the ill and the old - and they do that in all our names, so we should call them out for what they are.

The bullying of Jesy from Little Mix has to stop. Not everyone is thin, thanks Rallyboy.

So to get your free parking presumably you will need to get a doctor to provide you with evidence that there is no hope of recovery for whoever you are visiting. That’s nice.

And yet in Wales and Scotland car parking at hospitals is free. If they can do it why can’t England?

Because it’s a captive audience and an easy way to make money.

Not that this is an excuse but they’d also have to up the policing of car parks to stop office workers parking in hospital spaces all day.

I know when my daughter was in Southampton Central we used to get a signed chit for the NICU ward so that we could get ā€œcheaperā€ parking for a week at a time…

Do they have office workers in Scotland and Wales? I think the hospital car parks have been farmed out to private companies, the same as railway stations. So the revenue from car parking and fines,(documented reports of some nurses and medical staff receiving demands for hundreds of pounds for parking illegally even when answering emergencies), isn’t even going to the NHS, it’s lining the pockets of privateers, some of whom are multi nationals donating to the Conservative Party. It is a fucking scandal.

IDS complaining about this graffiti. It doesn’t threaten anything. Just statement of fact and a wish.
