🤪 2019 General Election Discussion :gov:

They’ve missed a letter out in the second word of second photo

I see what you did there…you saucepot. :lou_lol:

Have some sympathy Niki…IDS has obviously led a very sheltered life, it must be traumatic for him. :worried:

The Labour candidate has condemned it.

Yes, yes they do. Sorry my post was a little bit hazy, I wasn’t actually condoning the charging and was more wondering how they police the car parks in Wales (not Scotland as they still charge at some sites according to the following article)…

So, you still get a parking ticket from a machine but then have it validated on site, and some still maintain physical wardens.

It also took ages to bring the policy into full effect as some trusts were tied in to long contracts with parking firms…

For some reason this has been tucked away in the ‘Entertainments and Arts’ section, rather than being put in the General Election section :man_shrugging:

A mistake? Ah, that old chestnut.

NO parking charges at Hospitals in Fife…

but on another matter, How can SKY now advertise this election as ‘The Brexit Election’ ? Murdoch deliberately using his media platform to steer voters away from anything else… and IF a coalition were elected with a second referendum stance, would they then call this out as undemocratic?

The Conservative tactics seem to be getting a bit desperate now. Could it be that their private polls are telling them something different than the bullshit ones being put out for general consumption.

If there is a benevolent entity looking after all of us, Piers Morgan appears to be working for him. I never thought I’d say that, but this sort of takedown is precisely what is needed.

People watch Good Morning Britain.

I would say that I’ve long found ITV News’s output to be far more probing than the BBC.

You can see very clearly now how all of the spokespersons the Tories put forward have been strictly coached never to back down on any of the lies when challenged.
When challenged they just brazen it out…defending the lies in face of the truth.

Yeah, they call that the double down strategy. When people demand an apology, double down and repeat the offence.

Been a thing for a while, never more so with Trump.

It’s a poll, but…

With the car crash that is, well all the tories, every time they get in front of a microphone, even the biased media might not be able to stop people seeing the truth.
So unless there’s another Zinoviev* letter at the last moment some of these odds might be worth looking at.

Labour majority 25/1
Labour most seats 10/1
Labour over 206.5 seats 5/6

207? How many do they hold presently and does anyone believe they’ll have less than they have now on the 13th?
In two weeks the 25/1 might just need the letter to not be cut to evens.

* this could work both ways with the amount of skeletons in Johnson’s closet(how many children?).

Last thought on the fool and his foolish manifesto.
You go in for a minor op. After the successful op the consultant informs you that they’ve discover your riddled with cancer and have 3 months to live.
An hour later the family show up. You can’t break it to them on the ward so decide to wait(your checking out tomorrow).
They leave, put the parking ticket in the machine.
The display says

NO CHARGE

I’m not sure they the death of a child should be used as a political weapon but it appears that angry parents know how to turn up the heat on uncaring politicians.

This at the Esher hustings.

“Let them in” refers to Harry’s parents wanting to attend the hustings.

They’re shitting it, so this is nicely timed for corbyns next interview and the bbc made sure to promote the lie.

More of the deceit coming out(look at the over 65 and under 24 manipulation).

Someone has handily re-weighted it.

Kantar 7-11 Nov, re-weighted with 2017 age turnout:

CON: 34% (-3)
LAB: 30% (+3)
LDEM: 17% (-)
BREX: 8% (-)
GRN: 4% (+1)
SNP: 3% (-)

No wonder they are going all out with the tired lie about a/s(but not the in the only party it’s a real problem).

What does Gove mean in the first bit?
It seems maybe he thinks experts are important now?

think we again know that Stormzy, when he took to the stage at Glastonbury wearing a stab vest, he made clear what his political views were then,” Mr Gove told Talk Radio.

“He is a far, far better rapper than he is a political analyst."
