So Sony have bought Bungie for $3.6 billion quid.

That basically means they’ve bought Destiny, but it also means they’ve got a top quality FPS team on the books. Not always been a strong point.

Its an interesting move considering Halo was an Xbox must have

We will let you have Halo if you let us have CoD / Eldar scrolls?

Bungie don’t own Halo.

343 Studios produce it now.

Yep true, although Halo Reach is pretty widely agreed to be one of the, if not the, best version made and this was down to Bungie.

Everything produced since, by 343, has been either pretty decent or a bit meh, in comparison.

As I said, Sony are getting FPS masters, pioneers of the genre and also shit hot on netcode. But Halo is still a bigger property than Destiny.

I’d expect a brand new IP from them too.

I was increasingly toying with the idea of getting a PS5.

Was.

As usual, it was one exclusive title that was swaying me - the promise of a new, real, numbered Gran Turismo game. It is reportedly excellent as a game.

However, it seems Sony have decided to be super-greedy and have not only laden the bastard with microtransactions to buy the same in-game credits as you’d earn through gameplay, but have also reduced the amount of money you get for gameplay.

It’s pay to win shite, and the fact that the entire single player campaign was unplayable for 24 hours because the servers were offline shows that the DRM is shit too.

Shame. I’ll wait for the post-pelters patch I think.

PS5, the xbox still has user system of 20 years ago, the PS5 like Apple just works, the user system is great, I love the ps5 but the only issue I have is theres not enough games yet.
I have Elden Ring coming today and can not wait to play that.
Before that I was playing
God of War 4 (superb)
Ghost of Tsushima (superb)
and Detroit (superb again and a real surprise to actually how immersive it is).

Can you explain please? I have a PS5 (well my son does) and a Series X and I much prefer the Series X.

I’ve not had any issues with it, it works, the UI is intuitive, much better than the UI I remember from my Xbox crystal.

Its microsoft, its confusing and its no where near as user friendly as PS. Clunky and slow as well, My in law loves it but I find it very slow and laggy compared to the PS interface.

True of last gen. Not true of this gen. The menu is lightning quick on both consoles to the point where it makes last gen tough to go back to.

Anyone played Elden Ring? I’ve still not gone to PS5 yet due to lack of time to play these things, but fancy Elden Ring on PS4.

Well my laws must have a duff system as its slow, a lot slower than the PS5 and the way its laid out is so old, confusing and appears cheap.
PS5 just do it like its solely for that, with XBox its seems like its a system with something added on.

I don’t know how it’ll run on the old ps4,I’d check before buying, could be a cyberpunk moment.

They’ve probably got a One X or One S. Last gen.

Oi! My One X runs a bloody treat. Seriously quicker than the previous gen

Your One X hasn’t got an SSD. The Series X does.

Gt7 has tempted me

The micro transactions sound like a nightmare - one car costs £40???

That said I don’t really give a shit about collecting a certain car and as they are all available in the game and I won’t have sufficient time to beat the game anyway, I will probably muddle along just fine

No its the Series X, crap compared to ps5 in running time of start up to playing and the interface is clunky, I’ll buy one if Fallout is only on that but that’ll be it really.

Complete not beat, gaming Americanism.
