I think the price for games is way over the psychological disaster. Could also end up being a PR disaster in a context where a lot of people are fucking skint.
If the market bears it ( and Iām not sure it wonāt ) Ā£70 is the new normal.

People wonāt, Ā£50 is the max now and that wonāt change, maybe if they add more content or state there will be content later and itāll be free, no way will Ā£70 be a standard price release.
They will gouge you in-game

I think this heavy mark-up is to capitalize on the early adopters (as always). Many people will get the first batch of games in bundles too remember once they become available.
I would expect most of the day one titles to drop for the Christmas market. The supermarkets will take Ā£10-Ā£20 off MRRP.
I think the end game(sic) is signing more and more players onto subscription models. Maybe your God of Wars will still command a premium.

That ship has sailed for me, 4 and 76 were massive disappointments, last good thing was Skyrim but even the mechanics of that were getting a bit tired and monotonous.
