Half Time: 0 - 0

I’d say England had the better of the half without making any real chances from open play. Best chances from set-pieces where they seem to hold the upper hand.

Ramble chat, let’s have a ramble chat…

The dog is laying in front of the TV…asleep. He doesn’t give a shit about women’s football…which would no doubt appal Bazza.

England take the lead 0n 60 mins

Jodie Taylor scores for England…great finish. 1 - 0 :lou_lol:

England Goalkeeper going off injured.

England went a little bit panic mode after scoring!

Karen Bardsley went off in the World Cup quarter final 2 years ago, but we still got to the final.

The winners of whoever wins this game v Netherlands (your winners are in there)

now Germany are out, this is a fantastic chance. Saying this, we have not been playing well.

Yeah the defence lost their composure when the French started to press forward but have managed to get the clearances in. This has opened up the game for our forwards who always look to have space to run onto the well weighted through ball.

I fancy us to get a second on the break.

One of the UK’s most successful women’s football teams has dropped the word ā€œladiesā€ from its name – just in advance of the 30th anniversary of the team’s founding! While the team is being formally renamed the Arsenal Women Football Club, Arsenal announced last week that ā€œthe name Arsenal Women will be used sparingly, primarily to avoid any confusion with the men’s team… Video and pictures will make it clear which team we are talking about. We will wherever possible refer to our Women’s team as, simply, ā€˜Arsenal’ - just as we do our Men’s team.ā€

Over the past three decades since its founding, Arsenal has been the most successful club in England women’s football winning 43 major trophies. Arsenal’s women’s and men’s teams work together closely, and the women’s team receives full backing and support from the club. That sense of cooperation was part of what inspired the change in the name, but the club also says that they felt the name change – including the choice to use gender signifiers only when necessary to avoid confusion – is more fitting for the state of the sport, both now and in the future. ā€œThis is a clear signal of togetherness and unity and is more in keeping with modern day thinking on equality,ā€ the announcement read. ā€œThis is an important and progressive step as we embark on the next chapter of our history in women’s football.ā€

Semi Final not going well at the moment Netherlands 2-0 England. The winners to play Denmark.

Just 13 minutes left.

Well, the women’s game wats to be on the same level as the men’s game…so, this sounds about the right score

:lou_sunglasses:

If we are going to lose to anyone, the the Netherlands will always be my first choice
