Not a bad day out, despite the possibility of not being able to find a pub that would let away fans in.
I had a preemptive pint in Manc before catching the train armed witha couple of bottles of Punk IPA. My mates travelling up from Soton had found a decent boozer not too far away from the gound … result!! Signposting for Molineux from the town centre is virtually non existent, as is sign posting for the railway station, very odd.
The away side of the gound is long and not very deep and very difficult to get any good loud songs going, so the atmosphere was a bit flat to be honest. The lino flagged immediately for handball for the 1st VAR so it didnt really need VAR to confirm it. The 2nd came through so long after that it’s a surprise that we hadn’t already kick off again!! I did notice that Yosh appealed as soon as the pass was made but presumed it was more in hope. From my view from the other I assumed the pen was nailed on after we let get so far without a challenge, but having seen replays now it could wellhave been turned down. Needless to say Wolves Fans werent to pleased with VAR. I guess our turn for the good fortune with VAR will come back to bite us at some stage.
The substitutions when they came were a bit baffling to me. JWP had been a virtual passenger all game, Valery had done some decent overlapping, easy decision haul off JWP and bring on Boufal. Apparently not so straight forward, lets go down the square round hole route shall we. After a few minutes of the swap not surprisingly giving Wolves the impetus to attack down our right flank we have another sub and its another quirky one playing our new CB at RB again, and take off Romeu who was probably the pick of the 3 mediocre midfield performers!! Towards the end we had a couple of promising breaks but had no width on the right flank when there was acres of space there.
Bertrand did an excellent job of keeping Traore quiet, and was for me probably of Man of The Match. Ings should have done better with a chance before he scored but was looking a bit knackered by the end as he’d done a lot of running around pressurising the Wolves defence that eventually paid off with his goal. Giving Adams a 10 min run out at the end might have been a good option.
All in all a draw was probably the best I was expecting, especially with Wolves finding their ffet after a slow start. More post match beers in Wolverhampton a jog to the station just making my train back to Manc for a few more beers before a bit of bus wankery back to Leigh.
A much better day out than my last game at Burnley thats for sure!!
2 trips to the Etihad and games at Newcastle and Villa on the horizon to look forward to.

Your reports get longer.
Think you need to start Vlogging instead.
You wont ever catch me filming myself watching a game and giving a running commentary of me watching a game … even if I knew how to!!
Too busy singing songs, clapping my hands, hurling abuse and giving the oppostion support wanker gestures etc … ie being what used to be a normal football supporter, but sadly becoming a dying breed

You’ll grow out of it…NOT.
I still do it too…especially to early leavers, some who ironically find they can spare the time to threaten a frail pensioner with physical violence but not watch a whole game.
