I might start supporting the Liverpool Post soon as well.

Yeah, I forgot about them. Hardly mainstream media though, certainly compared with the Mail, Express, Sun, Telegraph et Al. The Guardian used to be left leaning but their piling in with the smears on Corbyn brought their true colours out, it was all just lip service. The ones above though are a disgrace, especially the Mail, Sun and Express which are read by millions, they are a dangerous threat to democracy with an unashamed far right agenda which they pump out every day, no lie is big enough.
I kept finding myself there. It’s full of anti-imperlalism and trade union stuff. And unlike the Guardian, it remained left-wing even as Labour got a left wing leader.
The Guardian ran for the hills and sniped at the project.
The guardian is, but maybe not left enough for your liking
It’s about perspectives - if you ever read the comments section of the telegraph you will see that the vast majority think it has moved too far left and that the current govt are more liberal than conservatives. They also stated that the BBC is hopelessly biased towards the left
The socialist left believe that the BBC is a govt mouth piece and anything right of Corbyn is far right
The media is an easy target to blame for the woes of your own party
Both sides of the argument are beset with division and infighting
The Tories have just got over Brexit and are about to tie themselves up in knots over Net Zero
The Labour Party have no idea what it is they want to be - a centre left party or a socialist party
…then you’ll know not to do so again.
Once in a while, I take a gander at the comments on whatever piece I’ve read, newspaper, BBC hys, or whatever news site. It always reminds me what madness that way lies.
I think most Labour members know what sort of party they’d like it to be. Anti-debt, anti-war and anti-austerity.
The problem is that you have the likes of Mandelson orchestrating things that’ll never let that happen.
An interesting read. For me it just confirms my opinion that Starmer is completely lacking in principles, and shouldn’t be trusted further than you could throw him. He clearly is establishment through and through, with the New Labour yesterday’s men pulling his strings.
Apparently Durham Police have started talking to witnesses regarding Beergate.
The Met have issued a total of 126 fixed penalty notices for the Downing Street gatherings. It’s going to be difficult for Durham plod to say “nothing to see here”.
And Keir has put his job on the line over it.
It is getting to the point where I am getting shocked by any poster who even implies the phrase “trust & politician” in the same post
Starker and Rayner sent police questionnaires
Given all the noise they have been making, they are going to look utter tits if they get fined
Starker will be done for through his own promise, however Rayner has kept a low profile on this and I would bet she will say, why should I resign if he doesn’t
I don’t see how Durham Police can swerve the fine, unless they say “we didn’t fine Cummings”. It might have not been the house of sin that Downing Street was, but it doesn’t need to be.
Durham Police have fined people for much less such travelling in cars together. They’ve even retrospectively fined someone according to the Mail.
I think this is a minor but clear breach of the rules at the time.
So let us hope we get rid of 2 twats in one scandal
It’s a twat machine, Phil. Get rid of these twats and more twats will replace them. A twatocracy, if you will.
Time for a Benevolent Dictatorship then
Here’s a bit of detail from Sky. Footy tickets and book income. Not much on its own, but depending on what Durham Police do, it could be damning.
Saved up for the by-elections, I reckon.
Perhaps he’s got a slow stream. Opinion please @P

A couple of vaguely interesting but pretty inconclusive investigations into the machinations and foreign money going in to the Labour party linked through this tweet. The second investigation might be of particular interest here due to the involvement of John Denham.
I assume you’ve all see the (probably) Russian leaked revelations by the Grayzone about Paul Mason’s activities.
