I guess even in these times we all have to tighten our belts and downgrade the standard of staff / visitorsā food from M&S and Waitrose. What next, Tesco, Lidl or Aldi?
Lidl rocks
How common.
Thereās one in Hythe. Veg etc looks good. Doesnāt seem to last though. Own brand beer is a travesty. But random on how everything is laid out as well as the āspecial offersā.
Reminds me of the time Mrs C_S tried to spend Ā£100 in the Lidl in Leatherheadā¦The special offer was diving gear in landlocked Surrey
True story, last time I was in Lidl the woman in front of me at the checkout suddenly asked the cashier to have a pack of carrots changed because sheād just noticed they were off. She then said she couldnāt understand why sheād picked it up because she always checks stuff she is buying, I quipped that it had probably gone off while she was queuing. And I was only half joking, their fruit and veg is atrocious.
So wanted to alter Cobās quote there⦠a simple vowel, but that would have been juvenile
Grim reality for poor people.
It is Lady Slowlaneās account (in name only), Chambers does the online jiggery-pokery.
Iām disappointed. Youāve let yourself down, and youāve let the site down.
I may be going out on a limb here, but is your love for LIDL based on the intersection of brands that appear in both the UK and Poland?
The wine though is f#cking excellent. Barolo at £10 a bottle!
Go onā¦
Alas, the moment is lost, and as Scotty has chastised, I hang my head in shame
You will all have to make your own Vug jokes
They have been known to have a couple of decent bottles in there. Unfortunately you have to Wade through lakes of shite to find it
And your liver is still in one piece ?
Or. It could be the only place in the village where the fresh meat counters dont actually smell rank.
Mrs P_F was shown how to wash the chicken portions in brine each morning when she worked in a ādeliā style one here. Dont go there anymore
Auchan is the best all round for choice but itās a hoik to the edge of town which is Covid central.
Lidl have a Spanish week this week. Munching on Anchovy stuffed olives. Nom nom nom
Easy enough to just buy the Barolo
