Why the fvck are they bothering? The evidence is overwhelming that outdoor transmission of the virus is negligible.

Police seem so under trained for managing crowds
Organisers trying in vain to ask crowd to remind calm… some seem intent on confrontation, nothing more… Throwing glass and stones… counter productive in any protest, any message lost in the bloody images…

I think you need to take them on a case by case basis.
My knowledge of social media is practically non-existent, but one snippet I do know is that deliberate misspellings on memes is apparently a thing. It’s so that if the picture “goes viral”, its originator can plausibly stake a claim to it.
Or something.
Easier ways to do that if you’re in the business of making memes.

Would that work if it was just screenshotted?

You copy and paste your text over the image, change the opacity so that a human eye can’t pick it out, then save the whole thing. That would still be in a screenshot. Maybe not a photo of a screenshot though.
