Only saw it for the first time a few years ago.
It’s a fucking downer, but what a downer. Loved the way his story ended, technically open to interpretation but conveying inevitable doom.
I don’t know whether you saw this from yesterday’s Guardian, a good read.
It’s a great film, right up there with any gangster movie ever made in my humble opinion. If pushed, probably my No1. Still watch it occasionally, and it still grips every time.
I did indeed. I guess that back in 1980 young Derek Thompson appeared to have a promising acting career ahead of him. How’s it gone for him since then?

I’ve never worked out how to do that from here with videos. One of the geeks might know.

I think just touch and hold the image, select share image.
That works fine with pictures, but not videos.

Not on an iPhone though…
