I like this…

Tonight at the Arlington Arts Centre in Newbury.

Really good, authentic sound. And an audience full of old farts :flushed::smile::smile::smile:

Have they got a Bon and a Brian, or just a Brian?

Just a Brian.

Well, the Stranglers and the Ruts were both excellent last night. It turned out to be only 25% of the Stranglers, Jet Black having hung up his sticks 4 years ago at the age of 79. I guess an 83 year old playing a solid two hour set might have been stretching it. Ruts were excellent, and worth looking up when they visit the Brook in November (where they will be supported by the great TV Smith :+1::+1:) Stranglers played everything you’d hope for, plus a rather lovely tribute song for Dave Green performed by JJB and the guitarist, both on lead guitars. And mercifully, Jean Jacques kept his shirt on throughout which having seen his pudgy middle aged torso exposed the last time I saw them was something of a blessing.

This is the farewell tour, so if anyone wants to see them one last time hop to it.

New from Calexico…back to their traditional style…

I love Zep

Just found this Peel Session featuring my mates band. He was telling me a few years ago they expected to record in a London studio but got the invite to go to Peel Acres to record. The whole band turned up to be wined and dined before the session. Peel and his wife were great hosts he said…

Fuckin Brilliant…

I’ve posted a few of Rick Beato’s videos before. They’re music discussion items from a construction/deconstruction viewpoint, sort of a “how to” instructional but not always. You don’t have to be a player to enjoy them though. This is an entertaining discussion posted yesterday…

Can you do anything with this piano @scotty?

It’s a bit grim, isn’t it :smile::smile: a bit more twang on those unisons and that would be a proper pub tuning.

I love it…such a delicate touch. :lou_lol:

He’d have been better with one of these.
