He has convinced so many that teh previous channels of ‘checking our pubic figure behaviour’, our media etc, are all lying scumbags that he can now in effect spout his hatefuelled bile and it has little impact apart form annoy us normal rational folk, who have als been conveniently labelled as either liberal elites or snowflakes - (again clever/dangerous spin to undermine more rational opinion and why I have NO respect for folks you use such terms)

Can’t help feeling that media coverage of Trump has been counter-productive. The shitholes story has caused outrage all around the world, but I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling that It’s Just Another Stupid Thing Trump did.
Would he already be gone if the media had kept their powder dry until they were ready for a focused assault? Where does this rank in respect to potential collusion with foreign states, or travel bans, or big red buttons. It’s a cavalcade of cuntery.
At what point, if ever, do the US public say this is too much? Would the alternative genuinely be any better?
The 2016 election looks increasingly like it was a case of one of those foreign states covering both outcomes in a two horse race, getting what it wants either way. Hillary would have been in there like swimwear in Syria, completely onboard with the Balkanisation of the Middle East. Ol’ Donald J has recognised Jerusalem and is causing all kinds of other problems on the world stage.
Ironically, I think his term could lead to a united, nuclear armed Korea.

The irony is that the very news media networks whom the president disparages on a daily basis were instrumental in getting him elected, allowing Trump’s circus to hog the headlines in an ‘issues free’ campaign. Trump received $1.9 billion in free media coverage, 190 times as much as he paid for while the major networks made tons of revenue off Trump’s theatrics.
I think you may be onto something there. One political trick attributed to Lynton Crosby is the “dead cat” . It comes from the notion that if you walk into a meeting to discuss one thing, and see a dead cat on the table, the only thing anyone will talk about is the dead cat.
You’ve got it spot on. It’s a deliberate media feedback loop, bypassing the “fake” mainstream news. Trump tweets some stuff, Fox News reports it into the mainstream. Now it’s on the news agenda.
There is a difference, as you know between being asked to be interviewed by a senate Investigative group (basically tv bullshit) and being required by law by a grand jury. In a grand jury you’re not allowed an attorney, and everything is on record.
