Nope. Don’t think it would have happened. Don’t think the sitting President would have had such personal & econimic stakes in the post-coup Ukraine.

I’m genuinely interested in your thoughts on why Statesman Trump would have averted the war in Ukraine and why it seems Biden couldn’t / didn’t.

Simple. Precedent. The Ukraine thing kicked off in 2014.
Trump did an entire term and there was no Russian invasion.
Biden gets in, was previously involved with the coup and appoints one of the architects Victoria “Fuck the EU” Nuland as one of his spokespeople.
Not to mention Hunter Biden’s laptop.
So precedent, better relations with Russia and not being up to his neck in Ukrainian related sleaze.
What makes you think Biden is any better? The evidence suggests his grasp of foreign policy is godawful.
