Republican supporters will fund it. It is only just over $1/voter based on the the last election figures.
Good - but he’ll get it all back from his redneck supporter donations. Feckin idiots.
Trump just lost his latest battle in court - his claim that he has immunity from criminal proceedings due to his position as president. the court of Appeal have thrown that out - now off to the supreme court
Good but isn’t the Supreme Court dominated by Republicans - I think?
6-3 - that doesn’t necessarily follow that he will win there - its more that republican ideology will take precedence (eg abortion rights / gun control)
Stacking the supreme court with youngish conservative judges was probably the most impactful thing Trump did in terms of a creating a lasting legacy. That influence will continue for decades.
A mere hiccup
The hefty fine comes on top of an $83.3m judgment against the former president in a defamation suit brought by the writer E Jean Carroll. Bloomberg estimates Trump’s net worth at $2.3bn, but it is unclear how much cash Trump has on hand.
And if he wants to appeal this decision he has to lodge the money (or a bond of the same value) with the court before the appeal can be admitted
He could be well fucked
Is more like 450 with interest
He doesn’t have that in cash
He only needs a bond which would be 10% of the total so only need 45m in cash he should have that lying around.
He’d need 45m, but your point probably stands.
Math’s was never a strong point of mine unless it was scoring on a dart board or at cribbage

You were only off by three zeros.
To quote Bob Newhart on his failure as a professional accountant, “my approach was that as long as I got within a few bucks of it…”
Three zeros is nothing so I was correct
He’s going to have to sell property which:
A he will find humiliating
B will show that he has been overvaluing the properties (assuming he can get fair value)
C which he won’t because the vultures will screw him to the floor
Dopey cow, ‘R’ has already been selected
I demand a recunt.
Jury has made a decision - result due imminently…
