After all the kerfuffle, Robert Peston reckons Boris might not actually launch a leadership bid.
I think heâd by wise not to actually, and take an important job in the Cabinet. He has time on his side.
âSomething, something, something, daaaarrrrkkkk ssiiiiidddddeeeeeâ.
Honestly though Cherts, does her authoritarian side not worry you a little bit?
Snoopers Charter seems to be spectacularly invasive.
Gove you cunt!
I think he needs it.
Iâve long said that he has few political allies. The damage heâs caused in the party will not be quickly forgotten.
Gove will tear us apart, again.
I love the description of Gove performing a âdouble Brutusâ, like some rarely used wrestling move. This from a bloke with a face like a ventriloquists dummy who regularly appears to get a kickup the arse from his Mrs and probably couldnât go for a shit unless she gave him permission to do so.

On reflection, Ed Miliband really didnât look all that weird eating that bacon sandwich:
Michael Goveâs human suit malfunctioned at conference today.
The more I watch that, the better it gets. Strangely hypnotisingâŚ
I shouldnât judge him on how he looks, but the undeniable truth is he looks like a retarded cartoon duckling.
I can judge him on what he said in the build up to the referendum though, and that confirms he is a a prize twat. Along with his monumental fuck ups as Education Secretary and ineptitude as Justice Secretary, the only possible conclusion to be reached is that he is a cunt.
God help us, if this bellend is elected as the Dear Leader.
As I have mentioned a number of times I feel she is too far right for me, BUT, we are now in unchartered territory.
In regards the Snoopers Charter Iâm not bothered about that, although I realise a lot of people are.

Far too right for most of the electorate then. Not putting you up as a big right winger, but youâre more on the right than many.

Who needs privacy eh?
On a related note, are you worried that the quality of candidates will cost the Conservatives the next GE?
Only if Corbyn goes. If Corbyn is still there then no, not worried.
Boris says he wonât be standing.
Itâs been an odd couple of weeks. Brexit. Iceland. Now the next PM isnât going to stand! This I thought was nailed on and the whole point of what Boris has done for Brexit. The cynic in me thinks he has bottled the approaching shitstorm. Still maybe the Party have said stand down for now, your time will come later in a bid to placate the 48% many of whom might be Tories. What next?
Also if the Labour party is still there - Corbyn could well win another leadership contest thanks to the ÂŁ3 brigade. 170 Labour MPs forming a breakaway centrist pro-Remain party (possibly allying with the SNP to ignore Brexit)? Stranger things have happened very regularly in the past weekâŚ
Name recognition is incredibly important in safer Labour seats.
There is no way the rebels will get the name. Theyâll have to contest under a different party. Good luck to them, but theyâll get nowhere. I doubt theyâd even split the vote that much.
The way I saw it as as follows:
-
Boris is pro-Europe and always has been. He has no interest in presiding over a Governmentthat removes us from Europe, and all the stress that goes with it.
-
The reason Boris led the Brexit campaign was purely to show those in the Conservative party that doubt him his popularity, so they will get behind him for a future tilt at being PM.
Brilliant clip, as you say strangly hypnotising. Watching it i was reminded of the clip of John Redwood after he was made Welsh Secretary,(despite never having been to Wales in his life), pretending to sing the Welsh national anthem at his first Conservative Party of Wales conference back in the 90s. So i dug it out, certainly worth a look, comedy gold.
