Beware The Walking Dead

One interesting point that’s been made is that the Cameron appointment was a shock to the media. That means for the first time is an age the no10 inner circle kept a secret without one of them leaking it

Makes a change

There’s only about two of those left.:smile:

So Cameron will go to the HOL as a Baron, which will be rushed through immediately.
ā€˜His Majesty has also been pleased to confer the dignity of a barony of the United Kingdom for life upon David Cameron’. Interesting definition of the word dignity there!
What a fucking shitshow, an unelected Prime Minister with no mandate appointing an unelected foreign secretary. Neither of them having to concern themselves with anything as vulgar as democracy. No wonder the country is fast becoming a laughing stock around the world.

I really don’t like this allowing Lords into the govt - we didn’t choose them and worst still, we can’t get rid of them

I suppose that there is so much shit going on overseas at the moment that having someone in the FO role who has seen it done it and got the fridge magnet could be beneficial

Not only that, they are completely unaccountable to the HOC, our elected representatives won’t be able to question Cameron at the dispatch box about any decisions he makes. It’s the complete opposite of democracy, but that is par for the course now with the way this country is heading. Dark times.

Oh, just go ahead and mock me.

We got form for this - I seem to remember Mandleson being more resilient that a cockroach and coming back from his second scandal as the Lord of Darkness

Constitutionally you or I could be appointed a minister tomorrow, although they introduced the ministerial code to ensure that only members of either house can be, effectively creating a closed shop

Mrs Braverman would love to lead the Tories one day.

Oh, and allies of the former home secretary are gathering for a meeting in Parliament this afternoon.

Oh lords, please no

Ms Dorries, a former Tory cabinet minister, said: ā€[David Cameron] has gone to the House of Lords – it’s so easy for someone who went to Eton to be just popped into the House of Lords overnight but if you went to a council school… it’s not so easy.

ā€œThat sounds like sour grapes from me and it isn’t really, he’s an ex-prime minister who had a long career leading the party.ā€

Yes it is - you didn’t get into Lords because your came from a council house, you didn’t get in the Lords because you are (bat) shit

Esther McVey appointed to the Cabinet as common sense Czar. Esther Mcvey??! She would give Mad Nadine a run for her money. Proof, as if anymore were needed that Sunak is just taking the piss out of us all.

What the actual holy fuck is this bullshit
