:tories: Tories in trouble?

From todays news.
‘More than 100 Nepali guards who risked their lives to protect British embassy staff in Afghanistan before the Taliban seized back control were secretly returned to Nepal against their wishes shortly after being airlifted to safety in the UK. It has now emerged that days after they arrived in the UK, more than 100 of these evacuees were forcibly removed to their home countries even though they had been issued with six-month visas on arrival.’

Deporting their protectors, in secret, depraved and sickening. This is done in our name. Just when you think this vile government couldn’t go deeper into the sewer they manage to surprise you. There truly is no bottom to the Tory barrel.

Some plan we’ve got

Some of you may remember that I posted this pic about a year ago. It was posted prominently in the bogs around the House of Lords’ bogs

Was back there for a meeting today and the signs had gone. Hmmmm

In separate news, yes, we had Coronation Chicken at lunch. Very unimaginative….

Thing is I have no idea if we had a plan and we have been telling people to get the fuck out for weeks or not

In my mind - if you are going to live in a dodgy country you have to take some personal responsibility for you own safety - and not sit there expecting someone else to pull your balls out of the fire

Totally agree
All my years in the sandpit “what if” & what’s the plan was top of the list.
After 9/11 I put it into action for all my staff & families. Thank God we didn’t need it
Sudan was not a wise place to go to. UK Gov have had a mare but the entitled generation had no plan.

Don’t disagree

I used to work for a global medical & security assistance company working with large corporations (not limited to oil, gas and mining) and they generally had evac plans in place and would like to get people out before Government intervention is needed. But we got involved in this sort of stuff. Desk jockeys from London got shipped out to safe places to help coordinate.

2000 Brits registered with Embassy.
First flight got 39 out.
Good grief

Why is it we believe the words of a foreign politician as absolute gospel

They are cut from the same cloth as ours - they are all lying cunts - and when they are not lying they are thinking about the lie they are going to tell to advance their own agenda

That’s never bothered me. It’s why people will so readily believe their own politicians that do.

Just see some wag on YouTube refer to Lee Anderson as Lee Anderthal.

I quite liked that.

Has a nice ring to it.

Regardless of what you think about the Just Stop Oil protesters this seems to be yet another curb on everyone’s right to protest being proposed by a thoroughly unpleasant Government. People should be on the streets protesting. Oh, wait…. :man_facepalming:
