:tories: Tories in trouble?

I am struggling to disagree with this assessment of the current incarnation of the Tories

Why are they saying that Boris has a mandate to lead the country as HE won the last GE.

I thought the British public voted for a party not a person.

In a deliberate attempt to raise @Nottarf-Krap blood pressure - I have just read that Liz is drawing up her resignation honours list

Maybe the revolving door of PM is a ploy to flood the HoL with tory peers

Sounds like they’ve mislaid the crayons and they need to find something for her to do over the next week.

Given that he was only the tory leader for one single reason, and given that the reason was easily the highest priority among the voting public, and given that he campaigned almost entirely on that single issue, I’d say that he probably has more right to claim that he and not his party was responsible for the election victory.

Besides that unfortunate fact, I’d also suggest that Corbyn was the political victim of it. That’s the real tragedy.

Maybe he has just been chasing the rats out which is why we have such a high turnover?

Truss would probably still be there if she’d just got her pussy out earlier :slightly_frowning_face:

Mordaunt confirms her hat’s going into the ring.

She seems like another thicko tbh.

She is merely part of a self-sustaining trend in which rank mediocrity and saying the right things are all you need to get to the top.

We seem to be in a weird parallel universe where talent, intelligence or ability basically preclude you from high office.

No wonder we end up with unbelievably bad leaders when they’re elected by people who infirm themselves from this putrid rag
