He’s going to get in by default, isn’t he. He has absolutely nothing going for him except that he isn’t (quite) a tory and he isn’t scary.

I still don’t understand the knighthood btw, what was it for, stabbing socialists in the line of duty? :rage:

Boycott the general election

I’m against that in principle, but I’m starting to think that a spoiled ballot paper might be all that’s left for me.

Monster Raving Loony Party?

there’s so many to choose from though.

It is interesting, what this chap said, because whatever colour of your politics, I would suggest there is little in his commentary to disagree with… The traditional Left v right rhetoric seems to have us in cycle of boom and bust (irrespective of who is in office) because after a few terms, complacency and self interest dominate the agenda, as those elected tae what they can forgetting what it means to be in public service. Career politicos using position for personal goals, as opposed to serving the electorate… and its sadly become ever more so (or at least less hidden) in the last 4/5 years as it became clear to those in politics that 8-10 years in power is all you need to line your pockets with a public that had its blinkers on post Brexit…

There is definitely complacency - I read something yesterday which said that ā€œeven MPs in safe seats who thought they were going to be MPs for life are beginning to panicā€

Now what I thought was telling was not the fact that Tory safe seats were at risk, but MPs think they have a job for life - and this happens on all side of the house

Yes he is speaking sense, but it will be falling on deaf ears in today’s Conservative party. But out campaigning for the Tory Party at ten years old? Somebody should have had a word with social services.

Despite what the Government says this whole economic clusterfuck was largely avoidable.

That graph looks rather more dramatic than the 0.44% fall it actually indicates.

This is still being blamed on the pension fund getting involved in LDIs - didnt you say you had something on that?

Our esteemed Business Secretary Jacob Really-Smug, in an interview on the wireless this morning insisted that the market turmoil has absolutely nothing to do with Kamakwasi’s disastrous uncosted mini-budget and is all the fault of the Bank of England and the BBC. He accused Mishal Husain of breaching the BBC requirement for impartiality for having the temerity to suggest otherwise. What an absolute 24 carat cunt he is.
