:tories: Tories in trouble?

Yeah I was looking for the first OGWT Beasley Street without the accompaniment but I couldn’t find it. I think it was about 1975/76.

I thought Snap Crackle and Bop was a terrific little album back in the day, still give it a listen occasionally. Thirty six hours is a great song, wonderful lyrics.

Well, at this point, what is the preference for Britain’s Next Prime Minister

  • Fishy Rishi Sunak
  • Human Hand Grenade Liz Truss

Can’t we have a 3rd option? Something like “saw your arm off”.

Can we have none of the above?

You didn’t want Cameron - you got May
You didn’t want May - you got Boris
You didn’t want Boris - …

On the upside these two aren’t as bad as Boris - In fact be thankful. Boris only has one useful attribute - he was excellent at campaigning. Now they don’t have that, in addition to the carnage he has left, Labour probably have the best chance for a generation to get in

None of the above

I think I would probably go with Rishi out of the two

The high tax issue bothers me - although has he just been prudent and having to deal with Boris’ largesse?

I think either will be an improvement on the pathological lying of their predecessor - I just want a bit of peace and quiet out of no 10. steady the ship and avoid scandal

I didn’t want any of them tbf. I don’t particularly want Labour either.

Welcome to my world. I’ll send you an application form.

I don’t think Sunak has a hope in hell of being elected by the Tory membership, his backers and handlers must be deluded if they think otherwise. Oh well, they got their poundshop Churchill, now they will get their poundshop Thatcher. God help us all.

I genuinely suspect that nobody has the balls to cause this to happen- which is a shame

Cameron stood down. I’d have thought he was actually quite popular before hanging himself over Brexit.
