I have to say, I never thought Johnson would be as shit as he has turned out to be, and so quickly. He’s far from the first Tory PM to have to wrestle with the issue of Europe, but the truculent way he’s gone about it has surprised me.
Even those that aren’t Tory members are going to be looking at him and thinking “that really isn’t PM material”, and I daresay some of the selectorate that put him in power are finding those deep misgivings resurface after actually seeing Boris unleashed.
I’m also not sure whether he is going to have access to his best asset in the upcoming General Election. He thrives in controlled environments where people want to be entertained. The level of antipathy he has generated in such a short space of time is truly remarkable. Hostile crowds will follow him everywhere. He will not be able to get an unprotested word in edgeways.
Even one of the coppers immediately behind him sat down at the end of his Q&A session. Guess they’re not buying the 20,000 extra plod on the street as a big thing either.

I never realised she’d been married to AA Gill. 
I think her majority in Hastings was only about 2 votes anyway. She has looked on the verge of a breakdown for some time.
