Vladimir Putin

Just read an article about how there will be an increase in child poverty. I am already pretty knackered doing my job with all the current cuts to benefits and local authorities. Not sure I can carry on working in the system that cannot help.

Sotonians. Come for @saintbristol 's links. Stay for the context and explanation.

Don’t hold your breath.

Hoi there, SaintTedBristMaul. What the fuck is all of this in aid of and how the fuck does it relate to Tories?

In other news, Theresa May is going to visit the Middle East and announce that we need stronger links to Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism.

Who knows, maybe if the links get strong enough she can convince them to stop funding and/or practicing it.

bristol can’t say too much for obvious reasons, but it’s pretty clear he was warning us. If he starts posting mysterious links about birmingham, I’m getting in the fkn car and head for the coast srs.

The Tories have decided that they’re going to apply IR35 legislation for government contracts regardless.

The plan: get more tax money from those that are contracting for the government.

The result: get less people taking public sector contracts (or crucially, leave), push existing contractors to compete in private markets, possibly hitting rates, which means some people won’t be employed (not paying tax) and those that are employed are likely to be on lower rates (not paying as much tax).

Wow. Better hope that this huge windfall from people who’ll still do gov work despite losing a fuckload of money will make up for the revenue loss, eh?

So our government have met Trump, Duerte and in Yemen. Nice.

To be fair Pap this is the first step to turn all contracting into PAYE - it was just the easiest for them to implement as they have the information about all the Suppliers.

Much bigger than IT as well. There could be an upcoming dispute in the NHS over locum doctors.

Well you did want the government to clamp down on tax avoidance . Just don’t whinge when they decide that your tax avoidance is first ups.

I don’t do public sector work.

nice.
