BBC News - Viewpoint: Putin now faces only different kinds of defeat
Yes, I said at the start he could probably āwinā but itāll be so so so costly a pyrrhic victory would seem positive, what is apparent is the Russian army is no where near as good as they thought and the rest of the World thought, the absolute resolute defence the the Ukrainians have shown have embarrassed the Russians and also given them a bloody nose not seen since Afghanistan or in all probability since World War 2, they had right on their side in repelling the invaders as do the Ukrainians do now and that is such a motivating factor in this, Ukraine are fighting for their very being, the Russian conscript poorly trained and armed doesnāt even know what he is doing there.
Another huge thing is China will be very very pissed off this is failing and will fail in all probability, its given Taiwan a kick up the arse if it needed it and it will galvanise the Taiwanese that huge numbers wonāt beat morale and belief all the time, and the Taiwanese have the best arms and possibly defences going, this has set back Chinese ambitions for quite a while.
Good and that is all down to the spirit, aggression and belief the Ukrainians have shown.
And.
As I said.
Now he needs to be given a way out
Or thousands more will die and billions more damage done, not to mention the cost of all the weapons being supplied impacting on inflation as money is printed to pay for it all
I donāt understand your sudden need to believe things.
Youāre a middle aged man for fuckās sake. The only thing you can guarantee that is truly yours during life are the contents of your own head.
Now, Iām almost certainly putting you through the filter of my own head, but everything you seem to post says the same thing.
āIām in agreement with the line. Iām a fan of the present thingā.
The most revolutionary you get is when youāre speaking about tax efficiency.
Quality post, @Nottarf-Krap. I know you werenāt born yesterday
Unfortunately, I fear much of it will fall on deaf ears, the same ears that canāt hear the context, nuance and well, a basic failure to recognise that past events led to current events.
Itās all very strange.
Youāre correct, Iām not someone who tries to say controversial things just to get attention.
You absolutely fucking are.
You just do it when trying to belittle individuals, instead of standing up for any broader purpose.
You are becoming this placeās hypo.
He should be given a way out but one that doesnāt give him anything the Ukrainians want otherwise what is the point and weād see concession for violence everywhere, he can been seen as a statesmen in the eastern part of Ukraine if they want to become independent after a verified election, he is a busted flush though and the best way for all is for someone to kill him and start again, lets not forget Russia will have to pay for the damage done and that will set them back decades.
Not sure I spend much time trying to belittle individuals on this forum, not really what I tend to do.
Iām not going to get drawn into another argument with you Pap - as we can clearly see above you are happy to use a source or publication, as long as it agrees with your opinion. Thatās fine, thatās your prerogative. Personally I just prefer to know whatās going on in the World, not in my own head.
I think what was I was trying to point out was that if every corner of the world was reporting 14,000 deaths in Donbas over the eight years, it was probably 14,000 deaths.
That doesnāt mea that anyone should believe anything. It just means you have a panoply of sources reporting the same thing, all with their different axes to grind, but still reporting the same thing.
You want to believe. You keep asking whether you can believe whatever has been posted. You asserted that you could believe all of those sources just because I posted them.
Take your Sunday beliefs and your need to believe to a church.
I think youāll get better outcomes.
Germany will pay for it
By buying their fossil fuels
Theyād have to be buying an awful lot of it and the younger Germans donāt want anything to do with blood money to Russia, principle over pragmatism.
I often shake my head sometimes when people on here call the Ukrainians Nazi, some are/were Nazi, like anywhere but the Naziās invaded Ukraine and murdered 1000ās, like the Russians did to them a few years before and like theyāre doing now.
I shake my head when I read assertions like this Barry. I donāt recall reading anyone saying all Ukrainianās are Naziās (there is too much posted shite to wade through), I agree with your last assertion (though I donāt have first hand empirical evidence to back it up)
Iād wade through it before commenting, the start of March should help you.
They havenāt but it suits his purposes. As does the article he has posted this morning.
Students of history wonāt be surprised to learn that a pissed off Red Army raped and pillaged all the way to Berlin.
Barry is not a student of history so he needs the opinion of a man whoās been President of a 31 year old country for three years.
Hackers temporarily switched the name of every programme on the Russian online TV schedule to highlight Russian war crimes in Ukraine, reports James Kilner .
The hack came on the day that Vladimir Putin hosted a Victory Day parade in Red Square, Moscow.
Instead of advertising the various Victory Day parades and programmes that are so important to the Kremlinās propaganda machine, the programme headlines on Russiaās First Channel said: āOn your hands is the blood of thousands of Ukrainians and their hundreds of murdered children. TV and the authorities are lying. No to war.ā
LOL
Pap, what does the Red Armies atrocities have to do with what I have mentioned?
What does an age of a Country matter Pap to whether something is right or wrong?
Shall I go through your expert knowledge of revisionist history in this very thread from 60 odd days ago?
Iāll give you benefit of the doubt as you post like you have no knowledge of modern history at all and this is merely a guise, youāre actually a real expert on modern history and youāre playing with us adopting a contrarian attitudeā¦
Ha Ha good, the Russians are ignorant to their atrocities or I hope they are.
