I watched the Russian Foreign Minister and the UN General Secretary yesterday. The Gen Sec was after as quick a resolution of this as possible. At the same time, youâve got the West just wanting to pump more money into their investment.
Iâve barely engaged with your posts recently - I didnât even reply to your last one on the Whopper thread - so if thatâs considered having an axe to grind then you have a very delicate sensitivity threshold .

I think that the whole world would like a quick resolution, unfortunately what suits Ukraine / West (ie Russians fucking off out of the country) does not suit Russia, either in terms of its geo political objectives, or from Putinâs POV so he can save face

Now on mission creep - yes an equivalent is happening. 6 weeks ago Anti-tank weapons, now, this week ancient anti-aircraft tanks. Next week? who knows - maybe Helicopters, probably T-72 tanks it is already being discussed.
The supply lines of these are legitimate targets. Easier to take them out on a train to/from a border than after they are deployed.
The forum consensus is that Putin is mad. And yet heads are stuck in the sand as the risks grow.
Ukraine needs support. It is dangerous. It s worrying. As I said right at the beginning of this horror, ONE wrong word by a Politician could destroy the planet, and right now the rhetoric is being ramped up.

Historical issues? Replace Ukraine with Islam or Saintâs defence and itâs all always the same old shite being peddled. An entrenched view that no one is allowed to deviate from.
I guess the one thing youâre not seeing or donât want to see is that your acceptance of the toxicity being peddled helps make the site less and less attractive.

Take a look back at your last ten posts on this thread (I canât be bothered to go further back than that) - Iâd say only one of them was a genuine attempt to engage on the Ukraine crisis, the rest of them were direct replies to Barry calling him out for his posts.
Iâd argue that Barryâs views on this particular topic probably chime with the majority in this country (not necessarily mine, nor it appears this particular site in general), so I dont see how that can make him âtoxicâ in this instance.
Sure, he spends an inordinate amount of time replying to (the same) people, parroting the same line, but then theyâre doing the equivalent but donât get any backlash. Not wanting to get embroiled in a debate with pap, but his âWorld War 3 vs. throwing Ukraine under the busâ fake dilemma was laughable, and you decided to accuse Barry of failing to see shades of grey!
